Abstract: The invention relates to a washer for a tube coupler device, the washer having an inner portion subdivided into a plurality of teeth with active portions having a free edge that defines an inside edge of the washer and that is arranged to penetrate into an outside surface of the tube, wherein the active portions are arranged so that the inside edge is substantially continuous. The invention also provides a method of making the washer and a coupler device.
