A connecting device (6) for an oscillating arm (7), is pivotally connected about a pivot axis near one end thereof. An electrically conductive coating (12) is provided on at least a part of the longitudinal strip along at least a portion of its length in order to transfer electrically generated heat to the wiper blade upon applying a voltage to the electrically conductive coating.
