Abstract: The gateway communication device for wireless communication networks receives messages from a low-power transmitter and communicates with a network. In a system comprising several gateway devices for a low-power transmitter, a master gateway device is defined. Definition of a master gateway device is based on reception quality indicators of the gateway devices situated in said reception zone of messages transmitted by said low-power transmitter. The gateway device having the highest reception quality indicator is selected to be said master gateway device. The communication method also defines a master gateway device in the same way. The master gateway device then selects a backup gateway device to store link tables and in certain cases to act in the place of the master.

Abstract: In an intelligent centralized control panel, in particular for motors in which case it is known under the name of iMCC, communications with the outside are performed by powerline carrier current or PLC. The wiring of the control panels can thereby be greatly reduced. To enable this type of communication to be used in dense systems containing a large number of line starters and therefore a large number of parallel-connected carrier current interfaces, the invention proposes inserting a preferably electronically adjustable impedance in series with the PLC conversion device. Advantageously, an adjustment algorithm enables the values of the added impedances to be optimized according to the geometry and position of the different interfaces.

Abstract: The invention relates to a communication gateway comprising means for transmission (11) and means for reception (12) of messages in order to communicate with at least one remote node (30) on a first wireless communication network (5) according to a protocol which includes network access control. The reception means (12) are also capable of receiving messages originating from at least one simple transmitter (20) transmitting messages on a second wireless communication network (6) according to a protocol which does not include network access control, and the gateway (10) comprises a processing unit (15) which is capable of differentiating between received messages originating from the first network (5) and from the second network (6).
