  • Patent number: 11127376
Abstract: A method for rendering a current image on a head-mounted display is provided. The current image has been acquired by a camera mounted on a moving object. First, the capturing roll angle is obtained. It is compared to the viewing roll angle that is the current roll angle of the head of a user of the head-mounted display. If the difference between the capturing roll angle and the current viewing roll angle is lower than a determined threshold, a detection flag is activated. The current image is then rotated by an angle determined according to the capturing roll angle, the current viewing roll angle and of the detection flag. The current rotated image is rendered.

  • Patent number: 10692336
Abstract: An encoder and encoding method map haptic effects for various haptic channels to a plurality of areas of a body model. The haptic channels represent temperature, vibration, or similar such effects for use by haptic actuators, for example. Each channel comprises signals to represent a timestamp, face locations and identifiers, and spatial and temporal resolution values to control effect resolutions for various parts of the body for a particular effect controlled by that channel. The haptic channels are multiplexed together to form a composite signal that can control various effects to a plurality of body locations.

  • Publication number: 20170269691
Abstract: The invention relates to a device configured to determine and/or render information representative of roughness of a first surface of an object, the device comprising means for measuring a first pressure applied by at least a part of a hand on said device, sticky means configured to be in contact with the first surface and means for measuring a speed of the device.

  • Publication number: 20150243086
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for controlling an environment composed from at least one virtual object calculated in real time and from at least one real object. The device comprises a display screen for displaying the composite environment according to an item of information representative of location of the device; first interaction means for selecting at least one object of the composite environment and second interaction means for adjusting at least one setting parameter associated with the at least one selected object.

  • Patent number: 8059917
Abstract: A system comprising an imaging device adapted to capture images of a target object at multiple angles. The system also comprises storage coupled to the imaging device and adapted to store a generic model of the target object. The system further comprises processing logic coupled to the imaging device and adapted to perform an iterative process by which the generic model is modified in accordance with the target object. During each iteration of the iterative process, the processing logic obtains structural and textural information associated with at least one of the captured images and modifies the generic model with the structural and textural information. The processing logic displays the generic model.

  • Publication number: 20070124405
Abstract: A method, system and apparatus for chat detection is provided. In one embodiment, the invention is a method. The method includes detecting a series of related emails. The method also includes querying a first user to determine if the first user desires to switch to a chat. The method further includes querying a second user to determine if the second user desires to switch to a chat. Moreover, the method includes initiating a chat between the first user and the second user. The method may also include detecting an end of a chat, and may similarly include providing a log of the chat.
