Abstract: The present invention relates to a vehicle immobilization device (1) comprising at least one impact detector (2), at least one circuit breaker (3) configured able to stop the engine of the vehicle (1), a restart system (4) configured to deactivate the circuit breaker (3) and allow the vehicle to be restarted, and a control unit, characterized in that the restart system (4) comprises a manually operable device (5) conditioning the restarting, the manually operable device (5) being arranged at a location which is inaccessible to a driver in the vehicle's driver's station. The present invention also relates to the use of an immobilization device according to the invention.
