  • Patent number: 8706475
Abstract: In a method for identifying a table of contents in a document, an ordered sequence of text fragments is derived from the document. A table of contents is selected as a contiguous sub-sequence of the ordered sequence of text fragments satisfying the criteria: (i) entries defined by text fragments of the table of contents each have a link to a target text fragment having textual similarity with the entry; (ii) no target text fragment lies within the table of contents; and (iii) the target text fragments have an ascending ordering corresponding to an ascending ordering of the entries defining the target text fragments.

  • Patent number: 8606914
Abstract: This invention concerns a computer communication method using asynchronous messages in a distributed software architecture, for example of type AAA-MOM (Agent Anytime Anywhere - Messages Oriented Middleware), including a disconnectable platform such as a smartcard. This communication is carried out between firstly a card agent (CA), stored in a removable platform (31, 32), connectable to a terminal (21, 22), and secondly at least one standard software agent (AS). This standard agent can be stored in this computer network (1), in another renmovable platform. A message sent by the card agent (CA) to a standard agent (AS) or sent by a standard agent AS) to the card agent (CA), is stored in the network by at least one intermediate agent (CEPA,CAPA) managing the communications of this card agent (CA) with network (1).

  • Publication number: 20100174717
Abstract: This invention concerns an iterative procedure for conversion of structured software objects into a raw data stream and vice versa, providing for their direct transfer using simple communication resources such as those of an embedded computer station, and reset of said software objects or reutilisation of memory space allocated to them. This procedure can be used by an embedded platform (2) or a portable object including at least a processor capable of exchanging information with a terminal in the form of linear data sequences. The procedure includes a step for conversion of a data set, in one direction or the other, between a linear data sequence arrangement on the one hand, and a structured arrangement describing or representing an object-oriented software object on the other hand.

  • Patent number: 7562223
Abstract: A secure release of a job request is managed at a document processing system that has been issued a private key and a public key. In one embodiment, the job request includes a first part specifying job information that is encrypted using a symmetric key, and a second part specifying the symmetric key that is encrypted with a recipient's public key. The document processing system begins release of the job request upon receipt of the symmetric key encrypted using its public key. The document processing system uses its private key to decrypt the encrypted symmetric key. The decrypted symmetric key is then used to decrypt the first part of the job request, thereby permitting the document processing system to complete performance of the job request.
