    Abstract: A method and system for evaluating the reliability of data supplied by multi-function WFC sensors of tires of wheels of a vehicle for targeted applications, on the basis of the irregularities of the road, which use displacement data sent from the road handling adaptation equipment of the vehicle, enabling the variations in the road condition to be reflected. The system includes equipment for monitoring the wheel displacement data for adapting it to the variations of profile of the road on which it is traveling, in order to maintain a stable body position. The monitoring equipment is linked to the WFC sensors via a central processing unit which is capable of correlating data supplied by the WFC sensors and values of wheel displacement data supplied by the monitoring equipment for the purpose of weighting the values of at least one parameter obtained from the data delivered by the WFC sensors.

    Abstract: A method for locating the wheels of a vehicle equipped with an electronic module, according to which the transmission, by transmitting antennas mounted on the vehicle, of a predetermined number of identification request signals is commanded, and the values representative of the rates of reception of these signals by the electronic modules are analyzed. According to the method, centroid calculations are performed to determine, for each wheel position, the “ideal position” {right arrow over (LAj)} for reception of the transmitting antennas covering the wheel position (a reception rate of 100%), and, for each electronic module, the “actual position” of the latter {right arrow over (WUi)} relative to the position {right arrow over (TAi)} of the transmitting antennas fitted to the vehicle, using as the criterion for determining this “actual position” {right arrow over (WUi)} the rate of reception, by the electronic module, of the signals transmitted by each transmitting antenna.

    Abstract: Method for locating the position of the wheels of a vehicle, each equipped with an electronic module for measuring operational parameters of each wheel, includes: controlling the transmission, by the module equipping that wheel, of n signals transmitted at times t1 to tn for given angular positions ?1 to ?n of the module, to a connected central processing unit, and to speed sensors each positioned close to a wheel, capable of delivering, values convertible into angular values, data representing the orientation of the wheel. The central processing unit is programmed to calculate, for each series of angular values ?1 to ?n provided by a wheel measuring sensor at the times t1 to tn, a characteristic value Vn1-Vnr representing the dispersion of the values ?1, (?2-?2) . . . (?n-?n), and to compare the characteristic values to allocate, to the electronic module, the position of the wheel located close to the wheel speed sensor.
