Abstract: Described herein are nanoparticle-conductive polymer composite films containing a polythiophene having a repeating unit complying with formula (I) described herein and one or more metallic or metalloid nanoparticles and their use, for example, in organic electronic devices. The present disclosure also concerns the use of one or more metallic or metalloid nanoparticles in organic electronic devices to improve light outcoupling leading to increased efficiency, to improve color saturation, and to improve color stability.
