  • Patent number: 9337686
Abstract: A synchronous rectification alternator for a motor vehicle is disclosed. The alternator includes a stator, a rotor, and a synchronous rectification system for rectifying into a DC voltage the alternating voltages supplied by the stator, and a voltage regulator for regulating the DC voltage. The alternator also includes fault detection for detecting faults in the synchronous rectification and supplying fault detection information to the voltage regulator. In one version, the fault information is supplied to the voltage regulator at fault inputs also receiving phase signals representing the alternating voltages supplied by the stator. At least one of the items of fault information is used to cause, in the voltage regulator, opening of an excitation circuit supplying current to an excitation coil of the rotor so as to produce, in the voltage regulator, a fault indication.

  • Patent number: 8994302
Abstract: The regulator/brush-holder assembly (1) comprises a support (2) and an electrical circuit (5, 6) comprising a regulating element (5) connected by microwires to a trace circuit (6). The electrical circuit further includes a filtering circuit (10) separate from the regulating element and connected by microwires to the trace circuit. According to one particular embodiment, the filtering circuit comprises an insulating substrate (11) and surface-mounted components (C1, C2, S1, S2, V). A ground plane (19) and/or one or more ground pads may be provided for connection to a ground trace of the trace circuit. The filtration frequencies of the filter circuit extend from 100 kHz to 1 GHz.

  • Patent number: 8531067
Abstract: An alternator includes a stator S, a rotor R and a transistor bridge, which form synchronous rectification. The synchronous rectification is in the form of an over-molded mechatronic housing (2), and the mechatronic housing includes an electronic power substrate (3) and power connection terminals (23), (24). Electronic chips (300A, 300B) are implanted on the electronic power substrate, and at least one of the power connection terminals is connected electrically to the electronic chip by means of at least a first soldered connection wire (300, 301, 302, 30B+, 30B?). According to one embodiment, the electronic power substrate is of the IMS, DBC or PCB type.

  • Publication number: 20110127863
Abstract: An alternator includes a stator (S), a rotor (R) and a transistor bridge, which form a synchronous rectification. The synchronous rectification is in the form of an over-moulded mecatronic housing (2). The mecatronic housing includes power connection terminals (23, 24), and contains a plurality of electronic power substrates (30, 31, 32) which have the same architecture, and in each of which there is implanted at least a first electronic chip (300A, 300B) of the transistor bridge. According to one embodiment, the electronic power substrate is of the IMS, DBC or PCB type.
