  • Publication number: 20210001861
Abstract: A vehicular road type recognition system analyzes data relating to road condition from sensors. The system determines an estimate or a correction of vehicle range, vehicle maximum safe speed, or vehicle braking distance.
    Type: Application
    Filed: July 5, 2019
    Publication date: January 7, 2021

  • Patent number: 8970359
Abstract: In a method and a device for wear diagnosis of a motor vehicle, driving events and driving conditions occurring during driving operation are detected, the detected driving events and driving conditions are assigned in each case a wear index value using a table which is stored in a memory of the motor vehicle and which adds up the wear index values assigned to the detected driving events and driving conditions in order to form a total wear index value, and the determined total wear index value is compared with a reference total wear index value derived from a stored characteristic curve.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 20, 2009
Date of Patent: March 3, 2015
    Assignee: Continental Automotive GmbH
Inventors: Reinhard Barth, Thierry Caramigeas, Matthieu Grolleau, Suraj Kiran, Olivier Lobey
  • Patent number: 8543313
Abstract: In a method for determining a vibration-optimised adjustment of an injection device of an internal combustion engine, for each cycle of the internal combustion engine, a plurality of individual injections per cylinder is carried out by the injection device, each of which is defined by a relative injection moment and an individual injection quantity. A temporal course of a resulting pressure influenced by pressure waves is determined in a fuel guiding part, and the above-mentioned adjustment is determined by variation of the injection moment of at least one individual injection and/or the individual quantity, such that the adjustment is characterized by a temporal variation of the resulting pressure, which is reduced by an at least partially destructive interference between the cited pressure waves. A corresponding device can determine a vibration-optimised adjustment of an injection device, and an internal combustion engine may have such a device.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 31, 2008
Date of Patent: September 24, 2013
    Assignee: Continental Automove GmbH
Inventors: Fredrik Borchsenius, Thierry Caramigeas, Jürgen Fritsch, Olivier Lobey, Danica Stegemann, Christoph Wienold
