  • Publication number: 20220315232
Abstract: An engine pylon of an aircraft having a rear portion, two rear cowls around the rear portion, each rear cowl having an upper fixed cowl and a lower movable cowl mounted articulated on the rear portion, wherein in the closed position the two lower movable cowls are moved close to one another, such that their lower edges are contiguous, wherein in the open position the two lower movable cowls are tilted such that their lower edges are moved away from one another, for each lower movable cowl, a hinge system fixed between the lower movable cowl and the rear portion, and at least one locking system which locks the two lower movable cowls to one another in the closed position. The presence of the lower movable cowls ensures, among other things, easy access to the interior of the engine pylon.

  • Publication number: 20220297845
Abstract: An engine pylon has a primary structure fastened between an engine and an aircraft wing and a cowling system having a front set of fixed cowls, a rear cowl, a displacement system having a first structure as one with the rear cowl and having a first slide mechanism, and a second structure fastened to a fixed structure of the wing and having second slide mechanism. The slide mechanisms cooperate so as to realize a sliding connection and to move the rear cowl in translation from an advanced position to a retracted position. An immobilizing system locks the rear cowl in the advanced position.

  • Publication number: 20220204155
Abstract: An assembly having a pylon with an upper spar and four lateral scoops, a wing with a skin, longitudinal spars and fittings, and, for each lateral scoop, two fastening assemblies, wherein the skin and the fitting each have a first bore and wherein the upper spar and the lateral scoop each have a second bore, wherein each fastening assembly has a screw passing through the first and the second bores, a nut, two eccentric rings, threaded onto one another and onto the screw, and a system for stopping the eccentric rings rotating. The assembly makes it possible to dispense with the use of the spigots while also ensuring the reaction of the shear forces contained in the XY plane by the bolts on account of the reduced tolerances between the various bores, the external and internal surfaces of the eccentric rings and the plain zones of the screws.

  • Patent number: 11332255
Abstract: A primary structure of a strut for bearing an aircraft power plant including a front part intended to be joined to an aircraft power plant and a rear part intended to be joined to a structure of the aircraft, the front part being formed from a box including an upper longitudinal member, a lower longitudinal member, and lateral panels. A main rib is located at an interface between the front part and the rear part. The rear part is formed from a set of four connecting rods. The first end of each connecting rod is joined to the front part of the primary structure and the second end of each connecting rod is joined to a separate interface for fastening to the structure of the aircraft. This allows a substantial simplification of the primary structure of a strut for bearing an aircraft power plant, which can have advantages in particular in terms of cost, mass, and simplicity of implementation and integration.

  • Patent number: 11104445
Abstract: An assembly of parts assembled with one another by a shaft passing through orifices formed in the parts is disclosed. The shaft has a base diameter (DB) and a thickened diameter (DE) over diametrically opposed arcs at two different sections. The orifices are aligned with one another and each have a periphery having a first diameter (D1) on first diametrically opposed portions, the first diameter (D1) corresponding to the thickened diameter (DE), and a second diameter (D2), greater than the first diameter (D1), on second portions of the periphery. This allows the shaft to be fitted easily even when the orifices are only approximately aligned, and also makes removal easier.

  • Patent number: 10731602
Abstract: A thrust reverser system includes a thrust reversal cascade and a reverser door which are accommodated in a housing situated outside a secondary flow duct. The system also includes connection parts the presence of which combined with the action of the actuator gives rise simultaneously to: displacement rearwards of the cascade in the direction of a nacelle opening, cleared by a nacelle cowling entrained rearwards together with the cascade; and a combined movement of the reverser door relative to the cascade, leading to displacement of the front end of the door rearwards along the cascade, and to pivoting of this door, such as to give rise to plunging of its rear end into the secondary flow duct.
