  • Publication number: 20160221462
Abstract: A system charges a traction battery of an at least partially electric traction vehicle. The system includes an input filter connected to a power supply network. The filter includes a capacitance connected through a switch of the filter between at least one power supply phase connection or a neutral connection of the charging system, and a ground of the charging system. The system includes a controller for charging parasitic capacitances of the charging system without transferring energy from the power supply network to the battery while the power supply network is connected to the charging system. The system includes a time delay for closing the switch of the filter when a delay time frame higher than or equal to a predetermined time frame expires. The system also includes a charging activator for transferring energy between the power supply network and the battery, the switch of the filter being closed.

  • Publication number: 20160052412
Abstract: A system for controlling a power converter, the system configured to control at least two consecutive instances of closure of pairs of controlled switches including a bottom switch and a top switch. A measurement mechanism can measure, prior to a transition between closing of one pair of controlled switches and closing of another pair of controlled switches, electric potential at a connection point for at least two arms in which the controlled switches are affected by the transition. A comparison mechanism compares the measured potentials and a selection mechanism can select the top switch of the arm with a lowest measured electric potential and the bottom switch of the arm with a highest measured electric potential. A controller can control closing of the controlled switches selected during at least one additional time period around the transition.

  • Publication number: 20150239358
Abstract: A system for charging a motor vehicle battery, configured to be connected to a first multiphase power supply network or to a second multiphase or single phase power supply network of which the power is lower than that of the first network, including: a filtering stage including plural capacitors; a first rectifier stage including switches; and an inverter stage configured to be connected to the battery. The charging system includes: a second rectifier stage including plural switches, and configured to be connected between the power supply network and the battery, in parallel with the filtering stage and at least a portion of the first rectifier stage; and a capacitor of which the capacity is lower than that of the capacitors of the filtering stage, connected between two phases or between a phase and a neutral of the second power supply network.

  • Publication number: 20140210409
Abstract: A method for controlling switches of a current rectifier installed on a motor vehicle, including: determining a neutral point current intensity required at an output of the rectifier; determining current vector coordinates making it possible to obtain the neutral point current in a Fresnel space including six sectors defined by six remarkable vectors; determining a half-sector including the current vector among twelve half-sectors forming the Fresnel space; determining a weighted vectorial combination of two remarkable vectors defining the Fresnel sector making it possible to obtain the current vector; switching the current rectifier switches to obtain the current vector in accordance with the weighting coefficients; and obtaining a free-wheel vector for remaining time of a cutting period minimizing voltage differences between the ground and the voltage rectifier during transition from one switching to another.

  • Publication number: 20110100739
Abstract: A control system for a hybrid propulsion group with power bypass for an automobile including at least two driving wheels. The system includes a thermal engine, a battery, a braking system for the driving wheels, a mechanism detecting a condition of the braking system, and an infinitely variable transmission including at least two electric machines and at least two epicyclic gear chains. The thermal engine is mechanically connected with the infinitely variable transmission via a first epicyclic gear chain, the infinitely variable transmission being mechanically connected to the driving wheels via a second epicyclic gear chain. The control system is capable of controlling the thermal engine and the two electric machines so that torque supplied by the thermal engine is converted into energy by the two electric machines used as generators for recharging the battery after receiving a signal from the mechanism detecting the condition of the braking system indicating the braking system is activated.
