  • Publication number: 20200099159
Abstract: A connector sealing plug for sealing openings on a connector. The plug includes a rod with a first end and a second end, with the first end having a first diameter, and the second end having a second diameter. The rod has a first bevel at the first end and a second bevel between the first end and the second end. The second diameter is larger than the first diameter, and the rod is adaptable to tool-lessly press fit into and out of the sealing openings such that a fluid resistant seal is formed and contacts within the connector are protected, wherein the sealing plug does not engage existing mechanical locks within the connector. The first end has a first fossa and the second end has a second fossa. The rod has a defined configuration identifiable by size, color, and fossae, and the rod is manufactured from electrically insulating material.

  • Publication number: 20170054261
Abstract: This invention relates generally to connectors for wiring applications, more specifically, to a low signal loss (low impedance), shielded cable splice crimp ferrule system. A precision sized splice crimp ferrule is installed using a standard hand crimp tool with an associated symmetrical geometry die and positioner. When employed with other components to terminate the dielectric and the metallic shield over the metallic braid of a cable, the splice crimp ferrule system results in a low signal loss, shielded cable repair that can be used in many types of cable systems.

  • Patent number: 9537230
Abstract: A splice kit is provided for repairing a cable having a central conductor, an insulator surrounding the central conductor, an outer conductive sheath surrounding the insulator, and a jacket surrounding the outer conductive sheath. The splice kit includes a central conductor joint that is electrically conductive and is configured to engage the central conductor of the cable such that the central conductor joint defines a portion of an electrical path of the central conductor. The splice kit also includes a dielectric insert configured to at least partially surround the central conductive joint and the central conductor of the cable, and an outer sheath joint that is electrically conductive and is configured to at least partially surround the dielectric insert. The outer sheath joint is configured to be electrically connected to the outer conductive sheath of the cable such that the outer sheath joint defines a portion of an electrical path of the outer conductive sheath.
