A bottom portion of the support is attached to the ground plane. Four conical radiation means are symmetrically arranged around the support. Each radiation elements includes a helical wire having a top end and a bottom end. The bottom ends of the radiation elements are attached to the ground plane. Four coaxial cables including conductors are provided. One coaxial cable is connected to the top end of each radiation element for providing each radiation element with a microwave signal for emitting two orthogonally polarized radiations. A distribution network divides an incoming signal into four subsignals offset in phase in relation to each other. One of the subsignals is provided to each of the four radiation elements. Adaption elements adapts an output impedance of the distribution network to an input impedance of the radiation elements.

The device for joining the ring member to the shaft includes a locking member mounted on the ring member and provided with a tapering contact surface that faces towards the shaft. An arrangement is provided for pressing the locking element against a tapering counter surface that is fixed in position relative to the shaft to prevent axial movement of the ring member on the shaft.

    Abstract: A method for mounting on a shaft extending through a housing a preloaded rolling bearing assembly incorporating first and second rolling bearings capable of supporting axial load, involves mounting the outer race rings of both bearings in axially fixed positions in the housing, mounting the inner race rings with a shrink fit on the shaft and with rolling bodies disposed between the inner and outer race rings, and introducing in the interface between the inner envelope surface of the inner race ring of the second bearing and the shaft a pressure medium to create a thin medium film in the interface for allowing the inner race ring of the second bearing to be axially displaced on the shaft. An axial force is then applied to the inner race ring of the second bearing and the axial force thus applied is measured. The pressure medium is then drained from the interface between the inner race ring and the shaft when a predetermined axial force is reached, whereupon the axial force is relieved.

    Abstract: An apparatus for cutting a cellular plastic web emerging from a web forming machine into a plurality of predetermined lengths is described. A cutting device including a plurality of mutually spaced filaments is provided on a movable carriage slidably supported on a support stand. The filaments extend transversely of the carriage and the direction of the web emerging from the forming machine. The carriage is mounted on the stand for reciprocating sliding movement. In one direction of traverse, the carriage moves in synchronism and in the same direction as the web and simultaneously divides the web into separate lengths by means of transverse cutting devices. The filaments move alternately toward and away from the carriage to cut the web during successive synchronized movements of the carriage and web. Further, the filaments may be horizontally moved to cut profiles other than straight, vertical sections in the separate lengths of the web.

A screw conveyor is suspended in a carriage mounted at the upper part of the space and is horizontally movable. The carriage has a hoisting machinery for wire ropes in which a beam is suspended along which the conveyor is mounted. At least two stabilizing wire ropes are secured to the beam and run to pulleys on the carriage, which pulleys are so disposed that the wire ropes cross each other at a point between the carriage and the beam. From the pulleys stabilizing wire ropes run to a device for keeping the wire ropes tensioned when the beam is raised, lowered and stationary.
