  • Patent number: 6909369
Abstract: The present invention relates to a monitoring device (1) with a transmitter unit (2) and a receiver unit (3) for monitoring an area. Slotted cables serve as antennas. According to the invention, a first slotted cable is arranged as a transmitting a antenna (4) for transmitting a pulsed high-frequency signal and a second slotted cable is arranged as a receiving antenna (9) for receiving the reflected signal. The slotted cables are arranged in association with each other and essentially parallel to each other, and the transmitter unit (2) is connected to the first slotted cable at one end of the antenna arrangement and the receiver unit (3) is connected to the second slotted cable at the other end of the antenna arrangement.

  • Publication number: 20040261793
Abstract: The invention relates to a lung ventilator that includes a control unit (3a), at least one gas delivery hose (4), and a patient-allocated or -related device, wherein one end part of the hose faces towards the control unit and the other end part of the hose faces towards said device. The control unit (3a) includes means for passing an inhalation gas flow or an insufflation gas flow to the patient, and an expiration valve (6) is adapted to allow expiration gas to flow to the free surroundings, said expiration valve being controllable to either one of two functional states. A reserve volume (7′) in a container (7) or bag is adapted to generate manually a gas flow, intended to an insufflation phase, wherein this gas flow can be actuated by applying pressure to the container temporarily and over or during a short tie period. The thus pressurised reserve volume in the container or bag is delivered to the hose (4c), which is connected directly to the patient-allocated or related device (5, 6).

Abstract: The present invention relates to a connector assembly (3) for connection to a container (1) for sterilising goods, preferably for pharmaceutical applications, and a releasable connector port (5) for releasably connecting said connector assembly (3) to a treatment station (1) for the goods that is contained in said container (1). Said connector assembly (3) further includes a second port that initially is provided with a detachable rapid transfer port cap (4), which cap (4) corresponds to a rapid transfer port means (15) that is provided at a goods transfer station (12). The connector port (5) and the rapid transfer port cap (4) are in fluid connection via a good stopper means (7). The invention also relates to a multi-treatment sterilising system and to a method for transferring sterilised goods from a multi-purpose container using a system according to the invention.

  • Publication number: 20040149949
Abstract: The invention comprises a needle valve-related arrangement (1) with a rotating spindle (11) in an enclosure, whereby a rotary movement of the spindle in one direction induces movement in a firs valve part (12) on the spindle in a first direction towards a second valve part (13) and vice-versa. Pressure to create sealing interaction of the valve parts (12, 13) is achieved with the aid of a spring arrangement (35).

  • Publication number: 20030017271
Abstract: The invention relates to an aqueous slurry or dispersion of pigment particles comprising as dispersant an amphiphilic polymer at least partly adsorbed to the pigment particles, wherein the slurry or dispersion exhibits a temperature dependent viscosity in such way that the viscosity increases at least with a factor of about 2 when the temperature is raised from about 20 up to about 100° C. The invention further relates to a the preparation of the slurry or dispersion, a coating color composition, a process for its preparation, and a process for preparing coated paper or board.

  • Patent number: 6058776
Abstract: The present invention is for a conductivity metering device. The invention is primarily for conductivity meters which are used for level gauging of fouled liquids where the fouling materials may cause functioning problems of the metering probe. The probe is intended for metering of the conductivity between the probe body 1 and a tube 14, made from metallic material, in order to determine if there is liquid inside the tube. The probe body 1 is the outer tip of a piston 6 and it may be made as one piece with the piston or as a separate part which is mounted onto the piston. The piston 6 and parts connected thereto are movably mounted in the cover part 15 and the cap 8 by sealing slide bearings 4, 7. When metering does not take place the tube 14 is mostly filled with water at a certain overpressure relative to its surroundings. As the metering piston 6 is kept retracted by an active overpressure between the sealings 4 and 7 liquid is prevented from leaking in.

  • Patent number: 5481572
Abstract: Signals in synchronizing sequences and data sequences are transmitted over a fading channel to a sequence estimation receiver. The signals are received by a plurality of mutually separated antennas and sampled to produce received antenna signals (S.sub.in,r (k)). Using the received antenna signals, part transmission channel estimates (h.sub.est,r) are formed for each antenna. These part channel estimates are used to form precomputed metric values (f.sub.a,r ((.DELTA.T.sub.ij),g.sub.a (.DELTA.T.sub.ij)). For the sequence estimation algorithm, branch metric values (m(.DELTA.T.sub.ij,k)) are formed by combining the precomputed metric values with the received antenna signals for state transitions (.DELTA.T.sub.ij). For one state transition there is formed a metric value such as the sum of a metric value (M(T.sub.j,k-1)) for an old state (T.sub.j) at a preceeding sampling time point (k-1) with a branch metric value (m(.DELTA.T.sub.ij,k)).
