Abstract: A media muxer node (10) of a local network (7) is configured to time-shift a live media stream, by storing the stream on a local network storage (3) during a pause, and providing the stored and time-shifted stream to a local network-UE (5) after the pause. The pausing and the resuming of the media stream can be initiated from an external network-connected UE (1) outside the local network, or directly from the local network UE (7). The system also comprises a media aggregating node (2) for authentication of the external network—connected UE (1), which are both connected to a virtual control node (4). If a pause in the replay is discovered, the media muxer node (10) sees to the storage of the media in a local network storage (3) until the discovery of a restart command.

The recording is remote-controlled from a Media Management server (1), e.g. an IPTV Backend, and initiated from a User equipment (2) belonging to a different subscriber (Subscriber B), wherein Subscriber B must be authorized by Subscriber A to access the Recording device. The authorization is checked by the Media management server, e.g. from a Friends list or an Access list stored in the Media management server, or in an external social network-node.

Abstract: A media rendering recording device (2) of a local network (7), e.g. a DLNA network, is capable of recording live broadcasted media content, the recording being initiated by a media controlling device (3) of the local network, e.g. a DMC of a DLNA network. The media rendering recording device fetches a playlist of available broadcasted media from a media aggregating node (1) outside the local network, the playlist including links to the media content, and forwards to the DMC for display to a user. The user selects a media to record, and the DMC forwards a command with a link to the content to the media rendering recording device.

Abstract: A media playing device (3) of a local network (7) is capable of triggering a recording of broadcasted/multicasted media content on a media aggregating node (1) outside the local network. The media aggregating node is connected to a remote-media storing device (2) of the local network via a gateway (6), and retrieves a playlist of available media from media content data servers (4). The playlist is sent to the remote-media storing device, and forwarded to a browsing media playing device for display as a recording playlist comprising associations, e.g. links, to the media. A user of the media playing device selects media to record by a play-input to the media playing device, to be forwarded e.g. in an URL Request to the remote-media storing device. Then, the remote-media storing device forwards the link from the recording playlist to the media aggregating node, in order to trigger the recording.

Abstract: An external network-connected UE (1) is configured to control external network-media content in a local network-compliant UE (5) from the outside of the local network (7), via a Virtual control node (4) of a local network and a Media aggregating node (2), which both are configured to handle said external network-media content. The external network-connected UE communicates with the Media aggregating node, which, in turn, communicates with the Virtual Control node.
