    Abstract: The present invention provides a composition and method for minimizing side effects associated with alcohol consumption. The composition includes an effective amount of a calcium antagonist, an osmo regulator which increases the alcohol clearance rate, and a fatty acid binder. Particularity a preferred embodiment comprises an effective amount of magnesium, and effective amount of taurine, and an effective amount of carnitine. The method of minimizing side effects associated with alcohol consumption includes administering an effective amount of the above enumerated composition to an individual in need of such an effect. The composition may be administered in various manners and times.
