  • Patent number: 8181114
Abstract: An apparatus and method for transferring files between a plurality of computers in a virtual network is disclosed. The present invention allows the selective transference of files between designated computers in a virtual network. The computers contain a VNRS program that allows a computer to display another computer's desktop next to its own. Although the two computers are not physically connected, the present invention allows files to be transferred from the first computer to the second computer and vice versa by merely dragging and dropping icons from one desktop to another.

  • Patent number: 8055728
Abstract: An enterprise computer network comprising a hierarchy of client computers interconnected through a plurality of server computers at a plurality of hierarchical levels. A system, method and object oriented computer program for giving a selected controller computer remote control of a selected target client computer in the network comprising the combination of a plurality of server controlled regional hubs, each hub connected to and serving a network region including a set of target client computers; and a function for storing at each server controlled regional hub, a remote control object including data necessary to access and remotely control each of the target client computers served by said hub. This is essentially a standard regional set up for remote control by a remote controller.

  • Patent number: 7133915
Abstract: A Virtual Network Resource Sharing (VNRS) system having a CPU and RAM offloading and sharing program is disclosed. The CPU and RAM offloading and sharing program modifies CPU and RAM utilization among participating machines. The VNRS program analyzes the CPU and RAM usage on a plurality of machines connected via a virtual network, specifically the applications running on those machines. The VNRS program reorganizes the applications amongst the participating computers such that the optimum performance is achieved for the network.

  • Patent number: 7084754
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for communication status management. A first status change request is received from a user, the first status change request including at least a first user status and a first duration. A first current user communication status is established based on the first status change request. The user is prompted based on the first duration. In a particular aspect, the first status change request includes a first user status message.

  • Publication number: 20030233378
Abstract: An apparatus and method for reconciling resources in a managed region of a resource management system. With the apparatus and method, an object database storing objects associated with resources managed by the resource management server is queried to generate a resource file. The resource file identifies the resources managed or available in the managed region of the resource management server. A resource file is also generated for a target resource management server. The differences between the two resource files are then identified and stored in a differences file. The differences file is then used to duplicate those resources that are managed by the first resource management server but are not managed by the target resource management server. In this way, the resources available through the first resource management server will also be available through the target resource management server and services may be obtained across managed region boundaries without a change in the way the service is implemented.
