  • Patent number: 12118687
Abstract: A method for placing content in an augmented reality system. A notification is received regarding availability of new content to display in the augmented reality system. A confirmation is received that indicates acceptance of the new content. Three dimensional information that describes the physical environment is provided, to an external computing device, to enable the external computing device to be used for selecting an assigned location in the physical environment for the new content. Location information is received, from the external computing device, that indicates the assigned location. A display location on a display system of the augmented reality system at which to display the new content so that the new content appears to the user to be displayed as an overlay at the assigned location in the physical environment is determined, based on the location information. The new content is displayed on the display system at the display location.

  • Patent number: 11769188
Abstract: A computing resource of a cloud computing environment receives, from customers in a customer population, requests to enroll in group-based subscriptions provided by third-party providers. The requests include customer preferences associated with the customers. The computing resource determines customer account attributes for customer accounts, and determines, using a customer matching model, scores for the customers based on the customer preferences and the customer account attributes. The scores predict a successful matching among the customers in the customer population. The computing resource assigns a first subset of the customers in the customer population to a first group of customers based on the scores, enrolls the first group of customers in a first account for a first group-based subscription provided by a first third-party provider, and allocates a payment for the first group-based subscription among a first group of customer accounts associated with customers in the first group of customers.

  • Patent number: 11743514
Abstract: A video community system that provides conversation videos to a member who is one of a plurality of community members. The system can include a conversation video storage medium that stores conversation videos that are each associated with one of a plurality of thematic content events; and a member interface that couples the video community system to a plurality of user devices. The member interface receives a user request from the requesting community member for a conversation video that is associated with a particular thematic content event. In response, the video community system accesses the conversation video from the conversation video storage medium that is associated with the particular thematic content event identified in the user request. The video community system communicates the accessed conversation video and at least a portion of the particular thematic content event to the requesting community member's device for concurrent display.

  • Publication number: 20230248406
Abstract: A fixation mechanism that more effectively limits or prevents relative movement between two adjacent objects includes an elongated tie having a free end and a joined end and a clasp coupled to the joined end of the tie. The clasp includes a housing having an insertion channel in which the free end of the tie is inserted and an exit channel through which the tie exits such that the tie and clasp form a loop that connects the two adjacent objects. The clasp further includes a locking mechanism positioned in the housing between the insertion channel and the exit channel. The locking mechanism includes a locking tine that permits the free end of the tine to pass forwardly through the insertion channel and out the exit channel but grips the tie to prevent it from moving rearwardly out of the housing.
