    Abstract: Systems and methods for monitoring an industrial site including: a distributed control system and a closed-circuit television (CCTV) system. The distributed control system includes a plurality of safety sensors distributed across the industrial site, each safety sensor associated with a specific area of the industrial site and each safety sensor operable to transmit an alert signal in response to detection of a target gas. The CCTV system in electronic communication with the integration node and including a server and a plurality of cameras. The server is operable to direct at least one of the plurality of cameras at the specific area of the industrial site associated one of the safety sensors that generated an alert signal received by the closed-circuit television system.

A global real-life graphical representation is generated for the soft sensor by combining the plurality of local real-life graphical representations. A set of numerical values for the soft sensor are generated based on the global real-life graphical representation. The soft sensor is updated based on lab results and a crude stabilization operation is controlled using the soft sensor.
