    Abstract: A machine that is used to automate the assembly of a circuit board assembly is provided. The machine includes a rotating indexer, at least one anvil holder, a punch, and an activation switch. The at least one anvil holder is carried by the rotating indexer and is configured to receive a connector pin. The anvil holder is rotatable relative to the punch, such that the at least one anvil holder may be aligned with the punch. A circuit board may be located about the connector pin, after which the activation switch may be activated to cause movement of the punch towards the anvil holder. When this occurs, the connector pin is compressed, which causes the connector pin to be secured to the circuit board. More specifically, a top section of the connector pin is compressed to form a top lip, where the circuit board is located between the top lip and a shoulder of the connector pin.

    Abstract: An adjustable panel locking mechanism is disposed in a slot of a structural member of the panel. A cam-strike or latch is disposed through the slot, over a lock plate, and both are covered by a cover plate. When the panel is assembled, and expanding foam is injected into a volume created by a plurality of structural members and exterior sheathing, the foam expands to the cover plate, which exerts a pressure or force on the cam-strike or latch disposed through the slot. The cam-strike or latch is then adjustable based on the friction between the lock plate and the cover plate with the base of the cam-strike or latch there between.

    Abstract: To reduce the random noise in a depth map that is rendered using colors to convey the various depths, pattern recognition may be used to selectively apply noise reduction or to modulate the strength of the noise reduction. In this way, the potential adverse effect on the detail/sharpness of the image can be ameliorated. For example, in an image of a person, the skin does not have any sharp edges so noise reduction can be applied to such an image with little adverse consequence, whereas noise reduction applied to the image of a person's eye can cause loss of the detail of the iris, eyelashes, etc. Using pattern recognition on objects in the image, the appropriate level of noise reduction can be applied across an image while minimizing blurring/loss of detail.
