  • Publication number: 20160001708
Abstract: A passenger seat mounting system adaptable for various and changing mobile technology is provided. The universal mounting system has an enclosure and a universal bracket assembly for securing to the various and changing mobile technology. The enclosure defines an enclosure cavity for said mobile technology, wherein the universal bracket assembly operatively engages the mobile technology through rear cutouts of the enclosure so that all three components are removably secured. The universal mounting system may be pivotally connected to supporting legs that are adapted to slide into standard head rest holes of a seat body. As the universal bracket assembly is adjustable, so are the varieties of mobile technology that can be universally mounted.

  • Patent number: 8555367
Abstract: A system and method for securely streaming media. The system includes a gateway server that receives requests for access to a secured data resource from an end users. The request include an authorization ticket and a referring website. The gateway server validates the authorization ticket using a secret key shared with the referring website, and validates the referring website by verifying that referring website is on a white-list for the secured data resource. The gateway server selects a data server to service the request, and formats a data server access request containing the data server location and data server request parameter data and transmits the data server access request to the end users. When end users transmit the data server access requests to a data server, the data server validates the request and transmits it to the end user.

  • Publication number: 20090165017
Abstract: A system and method for the delivery of a portion of a library of data to an end user. The system includes a plurality of data servers and at least one gateway server operatively connected to the end user. When the gateway server receives request from the end user for delivery of at least a portion of the library of data, the gateway server selects one of the plurality of data servers using a stateless addressing method and transmits instructions to the end user which enable the end user to issue a second request to the selected data servers for delivery the data to the end user. When the selected data server receives the second request, the server transmits the requested data to the end user.

  • Publication number: 20080147974
Abstract: The present disclosure describes caching systems and methods for managing the storage of data file in different caching levels. Each caching level represents a faster, but more expensive, storage device or location, with the lowest level, or order, of a cache being the fastest, but also most expensive, and the highest being the slowest cache. Even slower than the various system cache levels are external file storage systems referred to as filers, such as database servers. The caching algorithm used by the system is designed so that more frequently requested items migrate to the faster cache areas. The algorithm immediately brings any requested file that is not in the cache into the fastest possible cache area if space is available or else into the next fastest if space is available there. If all cache areas are full, then the file is cached to the highest ‘order’ number cache area.

  • Patent number: 7005099
Abstract: An interior trim component is formed utilizing an injection molding apparatus having first and second molds. The component includes a laminate and a polymer. The laminate includes a face layer having a finished and unfinished side, an adhesive layer bonded to the unfinished side, and a barrier bonded to the adhesive layer. The barrier includes a non-woven textile weighing at least 80 g/m2. The laminate is positioned in the first mold such that the barrier is exposed to face the second mold. The apparatus is moved into a closed position and a cavity is established between the barrier and the second mold. The polymer is injected into the cavity at a pressure of at least 500 psi. The polymer reacts with the barrier to bond the laminate to the polymer and to form the interior trim component without the polymer penetrating through the barrier and into the face layer.

  • Patent number: 6981700
Abstract: A turn-based strategic board game played on a gridded board with different strength piece types, wherein a player's higher strength piece is able to move or freeze an opposing player's lower strength piece. A player wins by moving one of his lowest strength pieces to the row farthest away from the winning player. The game board has one or more predetermined trap spaces wherein if a piece is on a trap space, then under certain conditions the piece will be removed from the game. Movement turns proceed in sequence among players. During a player's turn, the player may make optionally multiple moves, optionally divided among a plurality of the player's pieces. Initial setup involves each player placing his pieces in self-determined spaces of the player's first two board rows. In a preferred embodiment, two players can play on an appropriately marked chess board using standard chess pieces.

  • Publication number: 20050027707
Abstract: A method of managing sensitive information exchanges between users of a matching service includes receiving sensitive information from a first user and receiving a viewing option from said first user concerning the first user's sensitive information. A first user indication of interest is received from the first user, identifying a second user in whom the first user is interested. The second user is notified of the first user identification of interest, wherein a response is received from the second user concerning the first user identification of interest, the second user response one of interested or disinterested. The second user sensitive information is received from the second user if the second user response is interested, and the second user has not previously provided their sensitive information. The first user is notified of the second user response.

  • Publication number: 20040215782
Abstract: A method of managing message exchanges between users of a matching service is provided. In the method, a matching service database of a plurality of users that includes registration information for each of said plurality of users is maintained. The registration information includes a membership level. Access to the matching service database is provided over a network to the plurality of users. A message is received from a first user of the plurality of users intended for a second user of the plurality of users. A second user membership level is determined for the second user and the message is encoded if the second user level is a first level. The message is provided to the second user.
