Publication number: 20250213108Abstract: Methods and systems for identifying a patient at increased risk for development of a retinal condition employ visual field tests. A method of identifying a patient at increased risk for development of a retinal condition includes monitoring the patient via one or more visual field tests. Each of the visual field tests includes displaying stimuli for viewing by an eye of the patient and receiving indications of locations of the stimuli as perceived by the patient. A visual field test score for each of the visual field tests is determined based on the stimuli and the indications of locations of the stimuli as perceived by the patient. In response to at least one of the visual field test scores exceeding a screening threshold, the patient is identified as being at increased risk for development of the retinal condition.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 20, 2025Publication date: July 3, 2025Applicant: Notal Vision Ltd.Inventors: Hanoch Gideon Benyamini, Kester Nahen, Moshe Havilio, Yair Alster, Omer Rafaeli

Patent number: 11986241Abstract: Retinal imaging systems and related methods employ a user specific approach for controlling the reference arm length in an optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging device. A method includes generating a signal indicative of a position of a feature of a user's head relative to an OCT imaging device. A user specific reference arm adjustment length range for the user within a reference arm adjustment length range of the OCT device is determined based on the signal. A reference arm length adjustment module is controlled during an imaging of the retina to vary a reference arm length of the OCT imaging device within the user specific reference arm adjustment length range to identify an imaging reference arm length for which an OCT image detector of the OCT imaging device produces an OCT signal corresponding to the retina of the user.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2022Date of Patent: May 21, 2024Assignee: Notal Vision, Ltd.Inventors: Amit Pascal, Omer Rafaeli, Yair Alster, Gidon Goren-Gratzyani

Publication number: 20230277126Abstract: Systems and relative method of monitoring the state of a subject’s retinal disease employ remote based OCT imaging of a subject’s retina. A method includes receiving optical coherence tomography (OCT) image data of a retina of a subject for each of a series of OCT imaging sessions of the retina. The OCT image data of the retina is processed to determine a series of measured extent values. Each of the one or more measured extent values is indicative of a respective extent of the retinal disease.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 10, 2023Publication date: September 7, 2023Applicant: Notal Vision Ltd.Inventors: Amit Pascal, Kester Nahen, Hanoch Gideon Benyamini, Omer Rafaeli, Yair Alster, Moshe Havilio, Yael Alon, Elad Bergman

Patent number: 11723536Abstract: Ophthalmic imaging systems and related methods provide pseudo feedback to aid a user in aligning the user's eye with an optical axis of the imaging system. An ophthalmic imaging system includes an ophthalmic imaging device having an optical axis, a display device, an eye camera, and a control unit. The display device displays a fixation target viewable by the user. The eye camera images the eye to generate eye image data. The control unit processes the eye image data to determine a position of the eye relative to the optical axis, processes the position of the eye relative to the optical axis to generate a pseudo position of the eye relative to the optical axis, and causes the display device to display an indication that provides feedback to the user that the eye is located at the pseudo position of the eye relative to the optical axis.Type: GrantFiled: June 28, 2022Date of Patent: August 15, 2023Assignee: Notal Vision, Ltd.Inventors: Amit Pascal, Omer Rafaeli, Yair Alster, Gidon Goren-Gratzyani
