  • Publication number: 20210137725
Abstract: An intravaginal device (1600) includes arms (1602) and struts (1604). Each strut has a first end (1610) coupled to a shaft (1606) arranged to slide in a tube (1608) and a second end (1612) coupled to one of the arms (1602). A string (1616) is coupled to the shaft (1606). The arms (1602) have a stowed orientation in which the struts (1604) are folded inwards and a deployed orientation in which the struts (1604) point radially outwards and tautly hold the arms (1602) in an expanded position.

  • Patent number: 10299662
Abstract: An endoscopic sleeve includes a tubular member from which spaced projecting elements. The projecting elements are bendable towards both proximal and distal directions of the tubular member. The force (insertion force) required to bend the projecting elements towards the proximal direction is less than a force (extraction force) required to bend the projecting elements towards the distal direction. An outer periphery of the projecting elements decreases as the extraction force increases.

  • Publication number: 20180153380
Abstract: An endoscopic sleeve includes a tubular member from which extend spaced projecting elements.

  • Publication number: 20140296666
Abstract: In-vivo devices, systems and methods for the detection of blood within in-vivo bodily fluids. The methods include irradiating in-vivo fluids passing through a gap in a housing of an in-vivo device introduced to the GI tract of a subject with a plurality of illumination sources positioned on a first side of a gap; detecting with at least one light detector positioned on the opposite side of the gap and facing the illumination sources, light irradiated by the illumination sources; transmitting a plurality of values representing the light detected over time; converting these values to blood concentration values over time, and comparing the blood concentration values to a predetermined threshold value. Based on the comparison, the method includes determining the type of bleeding profile, such that if a plurality of blood concentration values measured consecutively is above the threshold value, the bleeding profile indicates bleeding.

  • Patent number: 8449457
Abstract: An optical head for an endoscope is fitted with an imaging system comprising a solid state imaging sensor and with an illuminating system comprising illuminating means, e.g. LED's. At least one illuminating means is defined by a parameter, which value is different from the value of the same parameter of the remaining illuminating means. Among the parameters are luminous intensity, luminous intensity distribution angle, and direction of the longitudinal axis of the illuminating means.

  • Publication number: 20070213591
Abstract: A cap, which is detachably connectable to an optical head of an endoscope, has a tubular housing, which is manufactured by injection molding from translucent plastic material. The housing includes a rear open end and a frontal end closed by a frontal face and an antiglare ring for preventing a viewer of the optical head from viewing parasitic reflections. The antiglare ring is embedded within the frontal face of the cap and said optical head can view an object of interest through a portion of the frontal face which is confined by the antiglare ring. The antiglare ring is provided with at least one discontinuity region through which the plastic material can flow during injection molding of the cap.
