Abstract: A method includes receiving, from a client and by a node, a commit request associated with a first datum, sending, in response to the commit request, a second commit request to a second node, wherein the second node comprises the first datum, after sending the second commit request, receiving a first cookie from the second node, making a first determination that the first cookie does not match a second cookie stored in a node cookie hash table, wherein the second cookie is associated with the second node, in response to the first determination, updating a master verifier cookie on the node to obtain an updated master verifier cookie, and sending the updated master verifier cookie to the client.

Abstract: Embodiments for transferring data directly from primary storage to secondary storage in a virtualized network including virtual machine (VM) based storage, by exposing a source volume in the primary storage to a hypervisor host of the virtualized network, preparing a destination volume of the secondary storage as an empty volume and exporting it to the hypervisor host so that the host can the destination volume along with the source volume, and moving, in the hypervisor host, data from the exposed source volume to the exported empty destination volume using a combination of Storage Direct, Storage VMotion, and XCOPY or enhanced XCOPY technologies, wherein the XCOPY technology provides a direct transfer of data from the primary storage to the secondary storage.

Abstract: A method and system for intelligent support bundle collection. A support bundle may refer to a set of log files pertinent to components of a computing system, which may generally be created when issues or problems plaguing the computing system need to be triaged by technical support teams. Further, at least presently and for any complex computing system, a support bundle may include a plethora of log files that are not all necessary for assessing and/or resolving the aforementioned issues or problems. Accordingly, to reduce the set of log files, as well as minimize the storage space, processing time, and network bandwidth associated with handling the log files, the disclosed method and system propose intelligently selecting a subset of the log files relevant to a given user-defined issue or problem. Selection of the subset of log files may employ natural language processing (NLP) based machine learning, as well as runtime rules to collect dynamic, problem-specific log files.
