Abstract: There is provided an apparatus (100) for rendering one or more visual representations in an augmented and/or virtual reality environment. The apparatus (100) comprises a processor (102) configured to determine a first distance from a proximal end of a limb or part of the limb of a user to a first body part located at a distal end of the limb or part of the limb of the user. The processor is further configured to define a first surface in the augmented and/or virtual reality environment at the determined first distance. The first surface is defined by a rotation at a joint located at the proximal end or the distal end of the limb or part of the limb of the user. The processor is also configured to render a visual representation at a first position on the defined first surface in the augmented and/or virtual reality environment.
