  • Publication number: 20130178752
Abstract: In a fluid control device, a check valve includes a first valve housing and a first diaphragm. The first diaphragm defines a first valve chamber and a second valve chamber. An exhaust valve includes a second valve housing and a second diaphragm. The second diaphragm defines a third valve chamber and a fourth valve chamber. The check valve is opened and closed by a difference in pressure between the first valve chamber and the second valve chamber. The exhaust valve is opened and closed by a difference in pressure between the third valve chamber and the fourth valve chamber.

  • Publication number: 20130109982
Abstract: A first calculation unit receives phase characteristics Pa(f) and Pb(f) outputted from frequency transform units, calculates a propagation time difference based on a phase difference between the two phase characteristics in a high-frequency component thereof, and calculates a pulse wave velocity by dividing a difference in the distances of vascular pathways from the heart to respective measurement areas. Meanwhile, a second calculation unit calculates a pulse wave velocity by dividing the stated difference in the distances by a appearance time difference at a predetermined position in respective pulse waveforms obtained by rendering the measurement signals Pa(t) and Pb(t) on a time axis. A comparison unit compares the pulse wave velocities, and in the case where the ratio thereof is outside a predetermined range, an evaluation result indicating that it is possible that a predetermined pathologic change is present in the vascular pathway is outputted to a display processing unit.

  • Publication number: 20130023778
Abstract: A blood pressure measurement device includes a cuff, inflation/deflation unit, pressure detection unit, volume detection unit, and control unit. The control unit determines values of an arterial volume signal detected by the volume detection unit, changes a prescribed control target value from the determined value at a time of diastolic blood pressure to a vicinity of the value at the time of systolic blood pressure during a rise time, changes the prescribed control target value from the determined value at the time of systolic blood pressure to a vicinity of the value at the time of diastolic pressure during a fall time, and adjusts the pressure of the cuff by controlling the inflation/deflation unit such that the volume indicated by the arterial volume signal detected by the volume detection unit matches the prescribed control target value. Thus, by applying a control target value, blood pressure can be measured.

  • Publication number: 20130023777
Abstract: Every pulse wave, a constant volume control unit performs servo control while updating a servo gain such that a difference between an arterial volume shown by an arterial volume signal that is detected by an arterial volume detection circuit and a control target value of the servo control is less than a control deviation at which a rate of change of the arterial volume relative to a change in cuff pressure is deemed to be constant. Because the control deviation is the difference between the arterial volume shown by the arterial volume signal and the control target value, a blood pressure decision unit decides, as a blood pressure, the cuff pressure sequentially detected in a period during which servo control is performed, by correcting the cuff pressure using the control deviation and the rate of change deemed to be constant.
