  • Patent number: 4919571
Abstract: The orientatable blocking unit for the support of structures on cylindrical elements is composed of a lower annular body, secured to the structure, in which the lower body there is present an upper annular body, coaxial with it in at-rest conditions, secured to an intermediate annular body by means of a pair of aligned, radial pins, which intermediate body is, in turn, secured to the lower annular body by means of a second pair of aligned, radial pins, perpendicular to the first pair. This permits, in operating conditions, the free orientation of the axis of the upper body with respect to that of the lower body. The upper body possesses an internal surface on which there are present a plurality of upwardly converging slide seats, in which there are slidably supported movable jaws, equipped internally with members for coupling by friction to a tubular column. Elastic members effect translatory movement of the jaws from a lowered, unblocking position to a raised, blocking position, radially gripping the column.

  • Patent number: 4836711
Abstract: A hinge assembly for barrier gates, sluice gates and the like attempted to be raised from beneath the sea, has a fixed portion mounted in a base which can be provided with a tunnel affording access to it and enabling a tierod to pull a replaceable body against this fixed portion. The body carries the movable part of the hinge and is provided with a rotating joint enabling compressed air to be delivered to the barrier.

  • Patent number: 4826357
Abstract: The device for the occlusion of the internal clearance of tubular foundation piles according to the invention comprises a plug, consisting of a shutter and a deforming ring cooperating with a deformation fixture capable to impart to the plug the opening position for its blockage within the pile, wherein the shutter consists of a cylindrical body which can be restrained by the deformation fixture, having close to its upper margin a plurality of axially oriented lamellar elements, which can be laterally deflected as a result of the insertion of the deforming ring into the cylindrical body under the action of the deforming fixture, going from a configuration with a smaller external diameter than the one of the rings previously fastened in the pile for this purpose, to a configuration with a larger diameter than the one of the same rings.

  • Patent number: 4792172
Abstract: A gripping and lifting clamp for pipes and cylindrical objects has an annular body equipped to be suspended and lifted. Inside the annular body is a plurality of jaws slidable on guides integral with the annular body and inclined converging towards the center downwardly. The jaws are connected by connecting rods to an axially movable common ring, carried by controllable actuating members adapted to bring the ring from a raised position to a lowered position, thereby determining, via the connecting rods, sliding of the jaws in the axial direction of the annular body on the inclined guides, between a raised, widened position and a lowered, closed position, in which the jaws come into contact with and grip onto the external surface of the pipe or cylindrical object to be lifted. The angle of inclination of the guides is such as to determine, due to the friction existing between jaws and pipe, the checking and support of the pipe itself by sticking friction.

  • Patent number: 4790571
Abstract: The quick-coupling connector assembly for pipes, piles or the like is constituted of a pair of half-couplers, male and female respectively, capable of being connected to the ends of the pipe to be joined. The male half-coupler possess, on its external surface, an annular raised profile capable of being coupled with a corresponding annular raised profile present on the internal surface of the female half-coupler close to its end, the female half-coupler being equipped, starting from its end, wih axial slits defining, along its entire surface, a plurality of outwardly elastically flexible lamellar elements, adapted to permit the fitting of the female half-coupler over the male half-coupler and the coupling together of the respective raised annular profiles. An axially movable ring is also provided, capable of being fitted over the female half-coupler and of being blocked in position for preventing radial deformations at the end of zone of the female half-coupler itself.
