  • Patent number: 11173620
Abstract: A method of forming a sheet-metal based double-walled stationary blade includes providing a first and second pre-product layers, providing a guide slot for a cutter, and bonding longitudinal ends of the first and second pre-product layers together to include an offset forming a guide slot to receive a to-be-mounted cutter. The bonding includes melting or depositing material at transition zone, thereby forming tips of the stationary blade teeth which are arranged adjacent to the transition zone between the pre-product layers.

  • Publication number: 20190315007
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method of forming a sheet-metal based double-walled stationary blade (24) for a hair cutting appliance (10), the method comprising: providing a first pre-product layer (70), providing a second pre-product layer (72) which is separate from the first pre-product layer (70), providing a guide slot (44) for a cutter (26), and bonding the first pre-product layer (70) and the second pre-product layer (72) to one another such that the pre-product layers (70, 72) are arranged to jointly receive a to-be-mounted cutter (26), wherein the first pre-product layer (70) and the second pre-product layer (72), in the bonded state, are at least partially offset from one another to provide a defined mating clearance fit for the to-be-mounted cutter (26), wherein the pre-product layers (70, 72) are bonded to one another at their longitudinal ends such that stationary blade teeth (54) are partially formed by the first pre-product layer (70) and partially formed by the second pre-product layer (

  • Patent number: 9873204
Abstract: A cutter unit (1) for a rotary shaver is formed by an outer cutting element or cap (2) which interacts with a rotating inner cutting element or cutter (4) to trap and cut hairs. The cap has an annular shaving track (8) of domed cross-section having slots (30) through which the hairs may protrude. The cutter has a convex upper face (22) to engage the shaving track and a concave forward face (26).

  • Publication number: 20090277024
Abstract: A device (1) for supplying shaving aid (10) to cutting units (22) of an electric shaver (20) is designed as a stand-alone unit which is to be arranged separately from the shaver (20), and which is adapted to receiving the shaver (20). As a consequence of this design, this supplying device (1) may be designed such as to contain more shaving aid (10) than any supplying device that needs to be positioned inside the shaver (20), so that the need for a user to replenish the shaving aid (10) arises less frequently. The supplying device may further comprise means for performing at least one other function than supplying a shaving aid (10) to a shaver (20), for example a function of cleaning a shaving head (21) of the shaver (20) and/or a function of charging a battery of the shaver (20).
