    Abstract: The invention regards a locking device for the closing door of a washing and drying machine, constituted of a body of containment that houses a locking wheel for the door latch, subject to the action of elastic means, a sliding bolt capable of preventing the rotation of said wheel and a time-delay mechanism fitted with a locking pawl for said sliding bolt. The wheel is fitted with a cavity that presents a surface tilted with respect to the plane of rotation, so as to resolve the force it exerts on the bolt, when a pulling is exerted on the door while the device is in a closed and locked position.

    Abstract: In door interlock mechanisms, used for locking the door of washing machines or fumble dryers, the closed or open state of the door of the machine is detected by reading the resistive value of a circuit in which a switch is placed in series. The interlock mechanism according to the invention envisages providing the door interlock with two contacts that make it possible to check, independently, whether the device is in the position with the door closed and locked and whether the door catch is inserted in the device. The device comprises an open-door contact, actuated in the closing position by a shaped portion of a first slider and in the opening position by a shaped portion of a second slider which, under the action of elastic means, interacts with the door catch.

    Abstract: Apparatus for rapid locking and delayed unlocking of the door closing mechanisms of machines such as washing machines with internal parts which are subject to inertial rotation. A sliding bar (15) is engaged by the hook (100) of the door-latch and is locked during the rotational part of the cycle by a pin (21) actuated by the mobile contact plate (8) of a microswitch through a rocker arm (6) moved by a bimetallic strip (2) suitably heated by a resistor electrically connected to the starting controls of the machine. The mobile contact plate (8) of the microswitch is subjected to the load of an eccentric ratchet (12) to control the insertion time and delayed opening of the door-lock. The bimetallic strip (2), heating resistor (5), and the rocker arm (6) rest one on another to assure that the curving and straightening times of the bimetallic strip (2) remain stable through time.

    Abstract: An electric heating device for heating motor vehicle glass washing fluid includes a pair of plate-like non-metallic body elements each having a spiral channel formed therein and sealingly closed by a copper cover plate. The cover plates are juxtaposed and sandwiched therebetween an electric heating element in the form of a PTC thermistor connected to the vehicle battery through a suitable switch. A thermostat is connected in series with the thermistor and is mounted on and responsive to the temperature of one of the cover plates. The thermistor is calibrated to reach a temperature substantially higher than the desired fluid temperature to ensure rapid heating of the fluid and the thermostat as activated at the desired fluid temperature to prevent overheating of the fluid. The spiral channels are connected in series at one end and the opposite ends thereof are connected, respectively, to a washing fluid reservoir and spray nozzles for spraying heated fluid on the vehicle glass.
