  • Automatic pin extraction apparatus for integrated circuit tube

    Abstract: A pneumatic system ejects a retaining pin from an integrated circuit package carrier tube. The system includes a tube alignment channel for aligning the retaining pin in the tube with a pneumatically operated ejection rod. A pneumatic valve automatically senses the aligned tube and pin and immediately causes the retaining pin to be ejected in response to the sensed alignment.
