  • Patent number: 9979086
Abstract: An exemplary embodiment of an multiband antenna assembly includes a printed circuit board having a plurality of elements thereon. The plurality of elements may include a radiating element, a matching element, a feed element configured to be operable as a feeding point for the multiband antenna assembly, and a shorting element configured to be operable for electrically shorting the radiating element to ground. The antenna assembly may be operable within at least a first frequency range and a second frequency range different than the first frequency range without requiring any matching lump components coupled to the printed circuit board.

  • Patent number: 9472846
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments are provided of multi-band Planar Inverted-F antennas and antenna systems including the same. In an exemplary embodiment, a Planar Inverted-F antenna (PIFA) generally includes a planar radiator or upper radiating patch element having a slot. A lower surface of the PIFA is spaced apart from the upper radiating patch element. First and second shorting elements electrically connect the planar radiator to the lower surface. The PIFA also includes a feeding element electrically connected between the upper radiating patch element and the lower surface. The PIFA may be mounted on a ground plane that is larger than the lower surface of the PIFA.

  • Publication number: 20160276996
Abstract: A radio frequency (RF) interference choke device includes a planar dielectric board formed with two first slots and two second slots that extend in a lengthwise direction of the dielectric board. The first/second slots are arranged symmetrically about a central line of the dielectric board parallel to the lengthwise direction, and have a first/second length associated with a first/second frequency band. A metal layer is attached to the dielectric board, and has a U-shaped first pattern surrounding the first slots, a U-shaped second pattern surrounding the second slots, and a strip-shaped third pattern extending along the central line and interconnecting the first and second patterns.
