  • Patent number: 6442796
Abstract: An air damper consists of a tubular cylinder with opposite ends, a piston movable in the cylinder, a first coil spring for resiliently biasing the piston in the direction of one end of the cylinder, a string for transferring dampening effect produced by a motion of the piston to an openable object, a shaft with a flange slidably fitted into the piston and a second coil spring interposed between the flange of the shaft and the piston inside the first coil spring. The second coil spring exerts a resilient biasing force at later stages of the motion of the piston in the direction of the other end of the tubular cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20020113158
Abstract: A sheet-like element winding apparatus has an accommodating case 1, at one end portion of which a cap 2 is attached to, and also has a winding shaft 3, disposed in the accommodating case 1, for winding a sheet-like element, and a pushing means for rotating and pushing the winding shaft in a direction in which the sheet-like element is wound. A clutch mechanism is provided at an end portion of the winding shaft. When a sheet-like element is wound, the winding shaft is connected through the clutch mechanism to a damping means D1 for providing a damping force to the winding shaft. When a sheet-like element is drawn out, the connection between the winding shaft and the damping means is canceled through the clutch mechanism.

  • Patent number: 6324732
Abstract: A fastener for fixing an article on a board via a through-hole formed thereon has a base that has a top face, side faces opposed to each other, and a rear end. An opening having at least two opposing edges is formed in the base. A pair of first elastic stoppers stands upright from the top face of the base and positioned along the edges of the opening. Each of the first elastic stoppers has an inclined projection extending outward. A pair of second elastic stoppers stands upright from the top face of the base next to the first elastic stoppers. Each of the second elastic stoppers has a leg and a wing extending from the leg, the wings spreading outward so as not to be parallel to each other. A cover plate is attached to the rear end of the base in a pivotable manner, so that the cover plate swings between an open position and a closed position. An insertion is attached to and extends from the inner surface of the cover plate.

  • Publication number: 20010022923
Abstract: A clip is used to hold two or more sheet-like materials, for example, an automobile panel and a trim, together. The clip comprises a grommet having a V-shaped leg portion, a pin movable in the axial direction in a space between the V-shaped leg, and a pair of hinges coupling the pin with the V-shaped leg portion of the grommet. The V-shaped leg has a pair of leg pieces and a bottom connecting the leg pieces. The hinges are curved in the free state, and extend in planes perpendicular to the plane defined by the longitudinal axes of the leg pieces of the V-shaped leg.

  • Patent number: 6048147
Abstract: A fixing clip is provided for fixing an attachment member to a panel having an attachment hole. The fixing clip includes a grommet having a plurality of extensible leg pieces for engagement with a periphery of the attachment hole, a pin to be pressed into the grommet and a seal cap for accommodating the grommet. The seal cap has a plurality of extensible pleats formed in respective places corresponding to the leg pieces of the grommet. When the leg pieces of the grommet spread and engage with the periphery of the attachment hole of the panel through the seal cap, the pleats of the seal cap stretch out to follow the spreading leg pieces, so that the seal cap can be deformed easily. Therefore, there is no fear of reducing the engagement force of the leg pieces with the periphery of the attachment hole of the panel.

  • Patent number: 5718549
Abstract: A fixing clip includes a female member and a male member. The female member includes a flange, a barrel and an inner hole bored from the flange through the barrel thereof. The male member is provided with a shank for insertion into the inner hole of the female member. The inner hole of the female member is a blind hole rectangular in cross section and open exclusively at the flange. The blind hole has the opposed inner wall surfaces provided with a pair of engaging projections. The shank of a male member has the leading end of a width smaller than a distance between the engaging projections.

  • Patent number: 4399927
Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a novel and improved snap-on plug for an apertured panel. The snap-on plug comprises a shank and a flange extending laterally from one end of the shank. The shank is hollow and adapted for insertion within a complementary panel aperture. A groove is formed in the outer surface of the shank at a location adjacent the flange and adapted for engagement with a panel portion around the aperture. The shank is provided with an inner surface portion upon which a force is applied when the plug is to be inserted into the panel aperture. The inner surface is inclined with respect a plane in which the groove is positioned such that upon insertion of the plug into the complementary panel aperture the groove is gradually brought into engagement with the panel.
