  • Patent number: 9171083
Abstract: An expert network in connection with keeping and finding information provides a textual search engine which, in response to a user query comprising a search term, uses a semantic vector to promote documents that contain other, closely related terms that strongly correlate with the search term. A social graph is generated for the user in which connections for the user comprise hyper-dimensional relationships based on semantic vectors that link the search term with a collection of the other, closely related terms. A personalized semantic vector for the user is applied to the social graph. The expert network applies the user's personalized semantic vector to locate experts in the user's social graph based on a user query topic. When a connection is considered an expert for the user, content that the connection kept is recommended to the user.

  • Patent number: 9138503
Abstract: Apparatus for dissipating a fragrance or malodor eliminator utilizes an infused disc which a user can place in either a rotating or a fixed position. The two states will dissipate a scent/malodor-eliminator at different rates. The disc is mounted on a shaft that secures the disc in an air stream. The shaft defines several positions at which the disc can be placed, as well as structures to retain the disc at a selected location along the shaft. The shaft is part of a support which includes a mechanism for securing the apparatus within the air stream. Air flow causes the disc to rotate and dissipate at one rate or to pass through a stationary disc at a second, lower rate, as a function of the position of the disc on the shaft. A method of imparting a scent or malodor eliminator to air is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 9127231
Abstract: The lubricating composition of this invention is primarily comprised of an admixture of an API Group V base oil component and a polyolefin base oil component. In general, the blend components include at least 45 wt. % of a Group V base oil component having a kinematic viscosity of less than 20 cSt at 100° C., and from 10 wt. % to 60 wt. % of a polyolefin base oil component having a kinematic viscosity of at least 500 cSt and not greater than 4000 cSt at 100° C. The lubricating composition has improved efficiency and lower operating temperatures, comparable to polyalkylene glycol-based lubricant level, which provides improved machine life and seal life, relative to other lubricating compositions.

  • Publication number: 20150214887
Abstract: A method for increasing the power extraction capability out of Differential Power Processor (DPP) system, which consists of a chain of N serially connected PV elements and an array of N-1 gyrator-type converters which are current sourcing resonant Switched Capacitor Converters (SCCs), each of which being connected in parallel with two adjacent PV elements. Accordingly, local MPPT is continuously performed, by each gyrator-type converter, to one of its two connected PV elements by sinking or sourcing current to/from the neighbouring PV element. Whenever a mismatch in the MPPs is detected, the gyrator-type converters are used to provide the difference in current that is required for each of the PV elements to operate at its MPP, such that the amount of power processed by each gyrator-type converter in the chain is linearly proportional to its location in the chain, with respect to the mismatched PV element.
