Abstract: Health of electrochemical energy supply elements is determined from sensor data representing sensed parameters of the electrochemical energy supply elements. A model of a health parameter that is dependent on operational parameters derivable from the sensor data and on health of the electrochemical energy supply element is fitted over the sensor data. The distribution of the health parameter is modelled as a Gaussian Process having an overall kernel combining a first kernel modelling dependency on the operational parameters and a second, non-stationary kernel modelling degradation over time. Health metrics over time for respective electrochemical energy supply elements are derived, comprising values of the health parameter that are predicted by the fitted model in respect of a predetermined operating point of the operational parameters. The health parameter is informative of the health of the electrochemical energy supply element and may be used as an input variable to a machine learning classifier.

  • Publication number: 20240230130
Abstract: A physics model of a building is linearized around an operating point. Measurements received from sensors define a system state of the HVAC system. The linearized physics model is used as an equality constraint for a model predictive controller that determines a next control input to the HVAC system based on the system state by solving an optimization problem for a time horizon of size N. A constraint matrix H of the equality constraint is decomposed into factors of U and V matrices such that UUT and VTV are both diagonal matrices. An objective function of the model predictive controller is optimized by iteratively solving a linear system of equations that includes inverses of UUT and VTV to determining a sequence of inputs for a horizon of the model predictive controller. A first input of the sequence of inputs to is used to control the HVAC system.

Abstract: A jack comprises a planar frame having a support post and an arcuate edge member. A pivot socket is provided at a first end of the support post that is sized to receive and engage an axle portion of a vehicle. The arcuate edge member has a first end extending along the pivot socket, a second end adjacent a second end of the support post, and an outer arcuate edge extending outwardly between the first and second ends of the support post. The outer arcuate edge defines a radius of curvature greater than a length dimension of the support post. Thus, the jack is positionable between a first orientation to allow the pivot socket to receive and engage an axle of a vehicle and a second orientation to allow the support post to lift the axle.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate generally to systems and methods for use in the implementation and/or operation of quantum information processing (QIP) systems, and more particularly, to a double individual-addressing multi-beam Raman system for use in QIP systems. A technique is described in which a first multi-channel modulator (MCM), a first telecentric zoom lens, and a first interleaver that form a first optical path of the Raman system that receives a first array of beams and adjusts the first array of beams to individually address atomic-based qubits in a chain from a first direction. Moreover, a second MCM, a second telecentric zoom lens, and a second interleaver form a second optical path of the Raman system that receives a second array of beams and adjusts the second arrays of beams to individually address the atomic-based qubits in the chain from a second direction different from the first direction.

  • Publication number: 20240226587
Abstract: In embodiments, a Wearable Cardioverter Defibrillator (WCD) system includes a support structure for the patient to wear, and components that the support structure maintains on the patient's body. The components include a defibrillator, associated electrodes, and so on. The defibrillator can operate in a WCD mode while the patient wears the support structure. The defibrillator can further operate in a different, AED mode, during which time the patient need not wear a portion of the support structure, or even the entire support structure. Sometimes the AED mode is a type of a fully automatic AED mode. Other times the AED mode is a type of a semi-automated AED mode, where an attendant is present to administer the shock; at such times, the patient may not even need to have electrodes attached. This way the patient is more comfortable for a longer time.

  • Publication number: 20240225870
Abstract: A proximal stent-graft retention system includes a stent-graft having a suture loop attached to a proximal end of the stent-graft and a delivery catheter having a distal tip that includes a retention feature. The retention feature can include a slot extending through a sidewall of the distal tip and a trigger wire. The slot of the distal tip exposes a portion of the trigger wire within the tip lumen such that the trigger wire may extend through the suture loop of the stent-graft at the slot of the distal tip of the delivery catheter and is configured to retain the proximal end of the stent-graft in the radially expanded configuration via the suture loop to prevent distal migration and compression of the stent-graft. Proximal retraction of the trigger wire releases the suture loop of the stent-graft such that the stent-graft is no longer coupled to the delivery catheter.
