  • Publication number: 20240141949
Abstract: The invention relates to a spring head screw assembly (8) incorporating a spring head screw (10) having a head (12) with a conical skirt (14) that widens towards the free end of a threaded shank which adjoins the head (12), wherein the spring head screw assembly (8) has a washer (30) which is located between the skirt and the threaded part (20) of the shank (16) in an unthreaded part (18) of the shank that has a bolt diameter (d0). The inner surface (22) of the skirt transitions into the shank at a radius (Ru), wherein the inner surface (22) forms a contact angle (?) with a support plane (EA). The support plane is defined by the end of the skirt facing the free end of the screw and is orthogonal to the screw axis. The shank has, between the support plane and the radius in the transition to the skirt, a cylindrical region having the bolt diameter.

  • Publication number: 20240145439
Abstract: Light-emitting devices including solid-state light-emitting devices, light-emitting diode (LED) devices, and LED packages with support elements for improved near-field and far-field emissions are disclosed. LED chips may be mounted to support elements in a manner that directs light through the support elements in desired emission directions. Support elements include optical structures that spread and mix light laterally within the support element. Optical structures include interior mixing chambers bounded by light-altering layers, such as light-diffusing layers or light-reflective layers, that effectively increase internal reflections within the mixing chambers for lateral spreading of light. Support elements as described may be well suited for low profile LED devices where device heights are less than or equal to device widths.

  • Publication number: 20240146643
Abstract: Technologies for testing resiliency of a data network with real-world accuracy without affecting the flow of production data through the network. A method according to the technologies may include receiving a production data packet and determining a preferred data route toward a destination node for the production data packet based on a first routing information base, wherein the first routing information base includes a database where routes and route metadata are stored according to a routing protocol. The method may also include, receiving a test data packet, and determining an alternate data route toward the destination node for the test data packet based on a second routing information base, wherein the second routing information base simulates an error in the preferred data route. The method may include sending the production data packet to the preferred data route and sending the test data packet to the alternate data route.

  • Publication number: 20240144188
Abstract: A system is configured to track and provide objective behavioral data of employees based upon an employee's engagement with communications, resources, tools, and other content distributed via an organization's information systems and software. This behavioral data may be combined into an employee profile that includes employee demographic and employment information and may be analyzed by an artificial intelligence or expert function to provide a quantitative metric that describes the likelihood that the employee will depart an organization during an upcoming time period. A dashboard is provided that summarizes and visualizes quantitative metrics and other employee information and provides tools for creating a retention plan for particular employees. When selecting actions for a retention plan, an employee profile is updated to reflect the action and re-analyzed to provide a quantitative metric describing the net effect of the action on employee retention.

An example method executed by a processor of a data capture apparatus in a vehicle can include capturing an image. In an example scenario, the image may include an individual who is located outside the vehicle. Furthermore, in some cases, the image can be a part of a video clip containing multiple images. The method further includes generating an identifier for identifying the image(s). The identifier can be a machine-readable symbol such as, for example, a QR-code symbol or a barcode. A notification that includes the identifier may be generated and conveyed to the individual for use by the individual to exercise his/her rights to privacy with respect to the images in which he/she is present.

  • Publication number: 20240144202
Abstract: A system and method for implementing a fast payment is described. A request to execute a payout to a payee account is received, where the request includes information about the payout. At least one payment rail available for the requested payout is determined from a plurality of payment rails based on the included information. Rules associated with each of the at least one payment rail are identified. A fastest payment rail is determined from the at least one payment rail for executing the payout based on the identified rules and the information about the payout. • Publication number: 20240143660
Abstract: In various examples, an offline evaluation system obtains log data from a recommendation system and trains an imitation ranker using the log data. The imitation ranker generates a first result including a set of scores associated with document and rank pairs based on a query. The offline evaluation system may then determine a rank distribution indicating propensities associated with the document and rank pairs for a set of impressions which can be used to determine a value associated with the performance of the new recommendation system.
