Abstract: A method for fabricated a buried recessed access device comprising etching a plurality of gate trenches in a substrate, implanting and activating a source/drain region in the substrate, depositing a dummy gate in each of the plurality of gate trenches, filling the plurality of gate trenches with an oxide layer, removing each dummy gate and depositing a high-K dielectric in the plurality of gate trenches, depositing a metal gate on the high-K dielectric in each of the plurality of gate trenches, depositing a second oxide layer on the metal gate and forming a contact on the source/drain.

Abstract: The present invention provides in some embodiments, the first for purpose designed, low cost, easy to transport, ergonomically correct, water transport backpack and storage device for the least developed countries of the world. The backpack includes a carrier bag and a food-safe liner configured to be disposed within the carrier bag. The carrier bag includes handles and straps to enable the user to carry the bag comfortably for long distances. The carrier bag and the food-safe liner also include wide-mouthed tops for filling the backpack with water and can be rolled down and secured with ties, in order to keep the backpack closed. The food-safe liner includes a spout for dispensing the water. The backpack also includes a flattened bottom for positioning the backpack on a flat surface for storage. The components of the water backpack can be provided as a kit for local manufacture to provide jobs.

Abstract: Methods and devices are described that use one or more thermally responsive current-controlling elements to regulate current flow to an electrical component, particularly a light source such as an LED. Examples of such thermally responsive current-controlling elements include thermistors, inductors, and capacitors. for treating conditions or disorders which can be alleviated by reducing food intake are disclosed which comprise administration of an effective amount of a purine analog, alone or in conjunction with other compounds or compositions that affect satiety. The methods are useful for treating conditions or disorders wherein appetite reduction would be beneficial, including obesity and binge-eating disorder. Pharmaceutical compositions for use in the methods of the invention are also disclosed.

Candidate pulse widths are determined for selected voltage multipliers and stimulation vectors. Each candidate pulse width corresponds to a lowest pulse energy sufficient to achieve capture within the tissues of the patient (subject to a safety margin) using the selected vector and using the corresponding voltage multiplier. As such, a candidate pulse width represents a preferred or optimal pulse width, at least insofar as energy consumption is concerned. However, depending upon the capabilities of the device, the candidate pulse width might not be achievable.
