  • Patent number: 11550734
Abstract: Techniques are provided for generating host connectivity plans with load balancing and resiliency. One method comprises obtaining a number of storage system target ports needed for a given host; identifying available target ports in the storage system and an input-output (IO) target component associated with each available target port; and calculating the host connectivity plan until the host connectivity plan includes the obtained number of target ports by: (i) selecting at least one IO target component not already in the host connectivity plan that satisfies a resiliency policy and/or a load balancing policy; (ii) selecting at least one target port associated with the selected at least one IO target component and (iii) adding the selected at least one target port to the host connectivity plan. The resiliency policy may require connectivity without a single point of failure. The load balancing policy may specify that the IO target components serve a substantially equal IO load.

  • Patent number: 11532244
Abstract: Ultrasound (US) simulation systems and methods are provided, which utilize computer tomography (CT) data to generate US simulation images, offline or online. Systems and methods repeatedly derive and display consecutive US simulation images that correspond to consecutively-derived corresponding US slices (according to the changing locations and orientations of a dummy US transducer mimicking the US transducer with respect to a physical patient model)—that define geometrically US simulation regions. The US simulation images are at least partly derived from CT data using a CT to US conversion model. Acoustic parameters (e.g., tissue density, acoustic attenuation and impedance) are calculated and integrated per pixel, along beams in the US slice, to form the US image. Additional modelling may be used to calculate reflection and scattering and their effects on the image pixels, and enhancements such as animation and flow data may be added.

  • Patent number: 11529471
Abstract: A sliding cover for a liquid delivery device, such as a cap (100) for a pen injector (200), incorporates a set of sensors including an optical sensor (110) with an output which changes during uncapping or capping motions on passing of a plunger (220) of the pen injector. This output is used together with a position sensor (120) to determine the position of the plunger along a cylinder (210) of the liquid delivery device. By monitoring changes in the plunger position, the quantity of dosages delivered by the liquid delivery device can be determined, displayed, stored and/or transmitted to an external device for further data processing or storage. Preferred implementations of the invention employ optical sensors with a converging beam (115), and/or position sensors employing linear potentiometer strips (132).
