Abstract: An apparatus comprises at least one processing device that includes a processor coupled to a memory. The processing device is configured to obtain access credentials for accessing a protected resource via a server over a network, to modify at least a portion of the obtained access credentials based at least in part on identifying information of at least one of the protected resource and the server, and to utilize the modified access credentials in place of the obtained access credentials in an authentication protocol carried out with the server. In some embodiments, modifying at least a portion of the obtained access credentials illustratively comprises modifying at least a portion of the obtained access credentials in a manner compliant with one or more credential format rules for the protected resource. The access credentials may comprise at least one of a username and a password.

Abstract: A portable urinal for use by people having limited mobility is disclosed. The portable urinal comprising a cabinet and a vessel. The cabinet having a base, a top wall, a rear wall, an openable and closeable door offset from the rear wall, and sidewalls extending from the base to the top wall and between the rear wall and the door. The vessel is located within the cabinet, and the vessel is configured to receive urine from a user. In addition, the vessel is removeable from the cabinet to facilitate disposal of the urine within the vessel.

Abstract: An apparatus in one embodiment comprises at least one processing device that includes a processor coupled to a memory, with the at least one processing device being configured to provide an authentication service for sharing access credentials of a protected resource among multiple users. The at least one processing device in providing the authentication service for sharing the access credentials is further configured to obtain the access credentials at least in part from a first one of the users, to automatically provide the access credentials to at least one additional one of the users responsive to authentication of the at least one additional user and satisfaction of one or more specified distribution conditions, and to automatically modify the access credentials responsive to satisfaction of one or more specified revocation conditions. The protected resource may comprise, for example, a user account of a website.

The apparatus can further include processing circuitry to determine presence of a relevant sound relevant to a user of the apparatus based on a user preference or an audio device parameter. The processing circuitry can further, responsive to detecting presence of the relevant sound, provide a control command to a user listening device to command the user listening device to provide the relevant sound to a microphone of the user listening device.

Abstract: A batting training aid includes a base, a vertically-extending brace or leg supported by the base, and a plane attached to an upper end of the brace via a joint. The brace allows for adjustment of the height of the plane, while the joint between the plane and the brace allows the plane to roll, pitch, and/or yaw to mimic optimal swing planes for different pitch locations/angles and batter heights. The training aid can incorporate a batting tee for tee work and/or a resistive medium to approximate contact during dry swings. A guide bar can be provided above the plane to prevent a hitter from swinging down on the ball. Sensors can be incorporated into the training aid to measure one or more swing metrics, such as bat speed; data collected by the sensors can be transmitted to external devices such as smartphones, tablets, personal computers, and the like.

Abstract: A vacuum device for a material handling system includes a vacuum device body and a sealing element. The vacuum device body has a vacuum passageway in which H vacuum is generated in response to activation of a pressurized air supply that forces pressurized air through a venturi device. The sealing element moves to a sealing position to substantially seal the vacuum passageway when the air supply is activated, and is urged toward the sealing position via pressurized air that is diverted from an inlet of the vacuum device to the sealing element. The sealing element moves to substantially vent the vacuum passageway when the air supply is deactivated. The vacuum passageway may be in fluid communication with a vacuum cup, which seals against the object when the sealing element is at the sealing position and the vacuum generating device generates at least a partial vacuum in the vacuum passageway.

Abstract: Household lubricant compositions containing medium chain triglycerides are non-toxic and biodegradable. The lubricant compositions are made using vegetable oil components and stabilized using alcohol, an antioxidant, and a metal chelator. The lubricant compositions offer safe and environmentally friendly alternatives to petroleum-based lubricants, yet have similar lubricity and are more stable than naturally sourced vegetable oils. The compositions also can be used to clean and coat surfaces, including food preparation surfaces, and to prevent corrosion. Still further uses include sterilization and sanitation of surfaces and as a skin conditioner and lubricant.

Abstract: A method of treating a patient having edematous lungs includes: administering a first surface tension-lowering component to the patient via the airways and administering a second surface tension-lowering component to the patient via the vasculature. The combined and complementary treatments may lower or normalize alveolar surface tension with improved efficiency and on a faster timescale, thereby reducing patient injury and mortality (FIG. 1).

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for exploiting inter-cell interference to achieve multiplexing gain in a multiple antenna system (MAS) with multi-user (MU) transmissions (“MU-MAS”). For example, a MU-MAS of one embodiment comprises a wireless cellular network with multiple distributed antennas operating cooperatively to eliminate inter-cell interference and increase network capacity exploiting inter-cell multiplexing gain.

Abstract: A substantially cylindrical glass bottle that is susceptible to accidental rolling and breakage when stored on its side has been structurally modified by forming a series of between approximately 8 and 24 small protrusions or bumpers spaced apart at regular intervals along either one path or two separated paths around the bottle's circumference at certain distances from the shoulder and base of the bottle. The bumpers project outward between approximately 2 mm to 6 mm from the bottle's outer sidewall surface, and pairs of these bumpers stably support the bottle stored on its side without the bottle rocking or rolling.

A purchaser may purchase a device from an original equipment manufacturer, and as part of the purchasing process, may provide ownership information for the device, which may include a user identifier and an identity provider. Abstract: This document relates to a process for supporting the management of a variety of types of deployed devices. Administrators utilizing enterprise services can provide generic configuration data using configuration templates, which can be provided to a management server. The management server can then precompute device-specific configuration settings and resolve any conflicts that may arise based on the configuration templates. The configuration templates can also include placeholders for secret values, and once a managed device checks in to the management server, the secret values can be retrieved from an applicable enterprise service and provided to the managed device at the time of applying the configuration template.
