Abstract: A thermal management system for an electric vehicle includes a thermal system with a control device. The control device generates lower level control outputs for operating the thermal management system based on inputs including user requests and parameters detected by a sensor device. The control device computes a cost function from the inputs to generate intermediate outputs, computes optimal control setpoints based on the intermediate outputs, and computes the lower level control outputs based on the optimal control setpoints for operating the thermal management system. The inputs are selected from a group of parameters defining target air conditions in a cabin, ambient conditions, thermal system conditions and vehicle states. The intermediate outputs comprise coefficient of performance of the thermal system and/or power consumption parameters of electric components. • Patent number: 12260214
Abstract: A compute channel can have multiple computational circuit blocks coupled in series to form a pipeline. The compute channel can perform a computation on an input tensor to generate an output tensor based on an instruction. When the computational does not require all of the computational circuit blocks, the throughput of the compute channel can be increased by splitting the data elements of the input tensor into multiple input data streams. The multiple input data streams are provided to respective subsets of one or more computational circuit blocks in the pipeline using bypass circuitry of the computational circuit blocks, and the computation can be performed on multiple input data streams in the respective subsets of one or more computational circuit blocks to generate multiple output data streams corresponding to the output tensor.

  • Publication number: 20250093639
Abstract: A laser beam scan structure includes first and second shear-mode piezoelectric elements; first and second flexure elements, first and second masses, an elongated hinge and mirror. The first and second flexure elements are respectively secured to and extend away from the piezoelectric elements. The elongated hinge extends between distal ends of the first and second flexure elements, and supports a mirror. The first and second masses are respectively secured to the distal ends of the first and second flexure elements. The piezoelectric elements alternately expand and contract to drive the corresponding flexure elements to oscillate. A pair of thinned down regions on opposite sides of each of the first and second flexure elements operate in combination with the respective masses, which are sufficiently sized to not follow high-frequency motion generated by the piezoelectric elements and instead remain stationary due, causing a center portion of each flexure element to rotate.

Abstract: Drivetrains and constant velocity joints for recreational vehicles are disclosed. These joints comprise a housing, an aperture for connecting with an axle, and interior components for rotatably connecting the axle to the housing. Various retention mechanisms improve the retention of constant velocity joints, including hydraulic-based, disc-based, pin-based, spline-based, and spring ring-based mechanisms. Hydraulic-based systems utilize adjustable hydraulic pressure for maintaining engagement. Disc-based mechanisms employ a conical disc that provides additional frictional force to resist pull-out forces. Pin-based retention involves drive pads or pins and corresponding tracks or grooves in the shaft interfacing gear. Spline-based mechanisms include a toolless locking half shaft retention system with rotating, interrupted splines. Spring ring-based retention features multiple flexible retaining rings placed axially along the spline, providing improved shaft retention.
