  • Publication number: 20240014773
Abstract: High-rise glass buildings are characterized by a high ratio between envelope area and roof area. The roof area is limited and usually populated with various gears; however, the envelope area is large and pristine. It is the purpose of the disclosed patent to populate the non-vision areas within the building with solar panels incorporated into the glazing shield to provide isolation, solar electricity and heat in wintertime. Using double-skin curtain wall with front solar PV will cause excessive heat in the cavity between the two panels, caused by heat absorption of solar panel without ventilation. Our challenge is to dissipate the heat, controlling the temperature of said cavity. The main obstacle of incorporating regular solar panels within the glazing envelope is the fact that the sun density on a vertical assembly is only 70% compared to regular PV, therefore adding heat harvesting can offset this problem significantly.

  • Publication number: 20230308945
Abstract: A wireless station (STA) in a wireless local area network (WLAN) performs a method to avoid media access control (MAC) padding of a physical layer convergence protocol data unit (PPDU) (e.g., a trigger-based (TB) PPDU, etc.). The method can reduce current or power consumption by the STA, which can in turn optimize the STA and, in certain instances, the WLAN as whole. In one example, the method includes the STA receiving a trigger frame from an access point (AP). The trigger frame specifies a length of a PPDU. The method further includes the STA generating a TB PPDU based on the specifications in the trigger frame. In particular, the STA generates a PPDU that has a length that is less than the length specified by the trigger frame. The method also includes the STA transmitting the generated PPDU to the AP.

  • Patent number: 11650125
Abstract: A method and apparatus for a structured light measuring device, having a preferable VCSEL array in its previous illuminated cross plane, using the laser array to be projected through said device's objective and collect the reflected beams through the same objective lens. A motorized stage is attached to the objective focusing, enabling back and forth focusing on different external planes. A software algorithm running on a computer device will analyze the reflected laser beam and find its central point and further translate it to angular deviations, similar to Autocollimation principles. Furthermore, this could be displayed as a cross on the user GUI for better user interface. The focusing function has the capability to focus the laser array at various planes, and analyze if the reflected beam is at its best focal point or deviates. By moving the focal point back and forth, a 3-D reconstruction can be achieved, preferable for lenses and calculating the center location relative to the device's line of sight.

  • Publication number: 20230104221
Abstract: Rejuvenating laser treatments are well known technologies used for a relatively long time to ameliorate wrinkles and other skin imperfections. A leading technology for this area is the Fraxel Laser, which relies on applying multiple collimated (not focused) laser beams on a given skin surface to produce a micro-column abrasion into the skin. By relocation of the laser active area on screen surface, a large portion of human face could be covered. To achieve that, very specific wavelengths are used, since most of lasers’ wavelengths do not penetrate into the skin, making skin rejuvenation expensive and difficult. It is our purpose to use laser energy from a wide wavelengths’ spectrum, applied in a boring-like procedure, by applying successive focused lasers penetrating into the skin by shifting the focal point in such a way that it penetrates from epidermis to deep dermis.

  • Publication number: 20230100737
Abstract: The present invention relates to laser beam profiling, more specifically to weak signals which are barely identified on a display screen representing the beam levels by color or gray palettes. Each displayed pixel on a beam profiling image represents the amount of laser power on said pixel. This represents the intensity information on a specific pixel. Integrating the pixel intensity information over the whole image will calculate the total power. Seldom, especially in high resolution cameras, the displayed information is indiscernible on the screen. However, there is enough information to observe the beam profile if the color or grayscale palette is displayed as percentage values of maximum intensity on the screen. Then, each percentage level will be assigned with a different color. By doing that, even very poor levels of displayed images could be enhanced to span over a full color or grayscale palette.

  • Publication number: 20230059392
Abstract: To achieve a highly accurate device for back-reflecting a beam with high accuracy over a large lateral offset, an apparatus is disclosed which reflects an incoming beam or image, allowing the reflected beam to be accurately deflected at an angle of 180 degrees over a large offset distance. The reflections inside the device are caused by an accurate 90 degrees reflection on its one end, towards opposite reflecting mirrors which will further bend the beam an additional 90 degrees, creating a total deflection of an incoming beam to be parallel and laterally deflected in respect to the original direction of the incoming beam. The two opposite transmitting and bending surfaces could be based on two mirrors on each end, and preferable at relative angles similar to existing pentaprisms. The said bending mirror surfaces on each end could be coated with anti-reflection coating or with reflection-improving metal coatings.

  • Publication number: 20230042985
Abstract: Apparatus for generating a laser line pattern for alignment, comprising of a collimated laser, a beam splitter, laser angular detection system, and a partially reflecting mirror equipped with a position detector on its back side. The laser beam is directed to the partially reflecting mirror, and the back reflection from said mirror is directed to an angular position aperture using a beam splitter. The angular position aperture will monitor the angle of reflection from said mirror as it moves along a path which its alignment accuracy is required. Moreover, said position detector mounted on partially reflecting mirror's back will monitor the position fluctuations in parallel to angular measurement performed by said angular measuring device. A method of generating a reference laser line is provided by a collimated laser, and deviations from laser beam path are recorded along a predeterminate section to yield position and angular behavior along the said predeterminate section.

  • Publication number: 20220364408
Abstract: Glass buildings are characterized by contradictory requirements—high visibility and high insolation levels. Transparency will allow sun radiation into the building, while isolation will prevent heat to be ventilated through same windows. This creates a greenhouse effect during summer, leading to excessive air conditioning load. As a result, leading architects and engineers are calling for all-glass skyscrapers to be banned. The disclosed art offers an alternative glass envelope which adapts its U-Value to climate changes, by a special aluminum frame which dissipates the heat when necessary. The proposed system is sealed and the adaptation of the envelope U-Value is achieved by circulating enclosed air into the aluminum frame, significantly increasing its heat dissipation characteristics. The disclosed art overcomes most drawbacks of prior art, offering a solution with superior U-value isolating during wintertime and cooling during summertime.
