The types of compartments include a) an electromagnetic/wireless shielded compartment useful for line-of-site type shielding, b) an electromagnetic/wireless shielded compartment useful when a complete shielding enclosure is needed, and c) an unshielded compartment. The line-of-site shielded compartment prevents wireless access to the contents contained within when a complete shielding enclosure is not required, for example, for objects containing RFID tags, such as passports, books, and clothing. The compartment with a complete shielding enclosure prevents wireless access to devices that require a complete Faraday type cage, such as mobile phones, PDAs, or computers. Placing these and other devices within the shielded compartments protects them from remote access, and the data within is shielded from unscrupulous individuals.

Abstract: A multi-mode adhesive is disclosed comprising a plurality of fibers connected to a backing material where applying an external influence causes a change in properties of the plurality of fibers or backing. This change in properties causes the multi-mode adhesive to change from one level of adhesive strength to another. The multimode adhesive may be used for a variety of novel applications, from adhesives that can be detached remotely to medical adhesives with adhering and non-adhering modes.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a container or bag with both an electromagnetic/wireless shielded compartment and an unshielded compartment. The shielded compartment prevents wireless access to the contents contained within. Objects placed within the shielded compartment are shielded from remote access, and the data within is protected. Objects placed within the unshielded compartment can continue to be accessed wirelessly. In this way, the user of the bag may select which objects to shield and which not to shield.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a class of candles comprised of attached sections that fall away as the candle is burned. In a basic embodiment a novelty candle has a wick embedded in a wax core. Several attachments are connected to the core. The attachments are shaped, weighted, and placed such that they would tend to fall down and outward if not for their connection to the core. The falling process is initiated by lighting the wick. Heat from the flame causes the attachments to disconnect from the core and subsequently fall and rest on a table or other surface. Once the attachments have fallen, portions of the core previously hidden are revealed.
