Abstract: In one embodiment, an apparatus comprises: a receiver to receive training data from a transmitter; a clock and data recovery (CDR) circuit coupled to the receiver, the CDR circuit to recover a recovered clock signal from the training data; and a media access control (MAC) circuit coupled to the CDR circuit, wherein the MAC circuit is to send a clock switch indicator to the CDR circuit to cause the CDR circuit to halt tracking operation of the CDR circuit. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Abstract: Various embodiments are described herein that relate to computer hardware and programs for facilitating international calls between individuals. More specifically, an international call system can route voice traffic between multiple telephone network endpoints. For example, a client application (also referred to as a “client”) may be accessed by a traveler on a mobile phone. The client can be configured to connect to a network-accessible application server, which can communicate with a call processing system that routes voice traffic from the traveler's mobile phone to the mobile phone of a desired contact (and, in some embodiments, vice versa). The international call system described herein makes use of the local providers in each country traversed by the traveler. Consequently, low-cost calling can be enabled in both directions, while predictable reachability is guaranteed as the traveler moves between different local providers.

Abstract: A method for making an affordable toy glider and launcher with intrinsic cross-sectional strength and extended useful life, each made from a sheet of corrugated paperboard. The sheets have a patterned layout of a complete set of glider and launcher parts that are printed on a printable side of the corrugated paperboard. All parts are precut and retained in place. The central body (fuselage) has two mirror imaged sides foldable along scored guide lines to form a three sided “U” shaped structure. A nose pack with coin weights used for balance, is placed at the nose section between the sides. A wing and stabilizer cutouts are inserted in slots with tabs used to center and fix the cutouts in place. Included is a pistol grip launcher which is universal in its use for launching all types of toy gliders.
