  • Patent number: 11999543
Abstract: A wireless package-mounted sensor system to detect an opening of a package. The system may measure, at each of a plurality of sensors mounted to a plurality of different respective surfaces of the package, an orientation of the surface onto which the sensor is mounted. At least one of the sensors may be mounted to an adjustable surface intended to open the package. An open package test may be executed comprising determining a relative orientation between the sensor mounted to the adjustable surface and another of the plurality of sensors mounted to another of the plurality of different respective surfaces, and determining the package is open if the relative orientation changes from a threshold range indicating a closed state to a threshold range indicating an open state. An indication of the determination that the package is open may be wirelessly transmitting.

  • Publication number: 20220189500
Abstract: A system capable of speech gap modulation is configured to: receive at least one composite speech portion, which comprises at least one speech portion and at least one dynamic-gap portion, wherein the speech portion(s) comprising at least one variable-value speech portion, wherein the dynamic-gap portion(s) associated with a pause in speech; receive at least one synchronization point, wherein synchronization point(s) is associating a point in time in the composite speech portion(s) and a point in time in other media portion(s); and modulate dynamic-gap portion(s), based at least partially on the at variable-value speech portion(s), and on the point(s), thereby generating at least one modulated composite speech portion. This facilitates improved synchronization of the modulated composite speech portion(s) and the other media portion(s) at the synchronization point(s), when combining the other media portion(s) and the audio-format modulated composite speech portion(s) into a synchronized multimedia output.

  • Publication number: 20110286960
Abstract: Neutropenia is the dose-limiting toxicity of the tri-weekly docetaxel (Taxotere®) schedule. Here, we evaluate in Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) patients (N=38) a computerized method for predicting docetaxel-induced neutropenia, and use the model to identify improved docetaxel and Granulocyte Colony Stimulating Factor (G-CSF) regimens. Pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) models were created and simulated concomitantly with a mathematical granulopoiesis model. Individual baseline neutrophil counts and docetaxel schedules served as inputs. Our trial validated the model accuracy in predicting nadir timings (r=0.99), grade 3/4 neutropenia (86% success) and neutrophil profiles (r=0.62). Model was robust to CYP3A-induced variability, except for slightly less accurate grade 3/4 neutropenia predictions.
