In some embodiments, methods for combining conferencing signals are provided, wherein the methods include: selecting first selected signals from a plurality of first input signals; combining the first selected signals to provide first combined signals; sending the first combined signals to at least one of an audio mixer and a video composer; receiving second combined signals from the at least one of an audio mixer and a video composer; separating a second input signal from the second combined signals; selecting second selected signals from the plurality of first input signals and the second input signal; combining the second selected signals to provide an output signal; and outputting the output signal.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein provide systems and methods for a scalable videoconference system. In a particular embodiment, a method provides receiving a video stream from a party on a videoconference over a communication network. The method further provides transferring the video stream to a processing device of a plurality of processing devices located on one of a plurality of processing boards operatively coupled to each of one or more server processors. The method further provides processing the video stream to generate a processed video stream and transferring the processed video stream for distribution to other parties on the videoconference.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method to present several ways to analyze one or more camera feeds captured in a room. This may include selection of different optimized feeds. This may include further optimization of feeds by changing the pan, tilt, zoom settings of the cameras. These methods and optimizations are applied to views shown to remote participants.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and media for providing cascaded multi-point video conferencing units are provided. In some embodiments, systems for providing cascaded multi-point conference units are provided, the systems comprising: at least one encoder that encodes a video signal into representations using a scalable video protocol based on required configurations of parameters for a first multi-point conferencing unit (MCU) and a second MCU; and at least one interface that distributes a first one of the representations to the first MCU and a second one of the representations to the second MCU without distributing the first one of the representations to the second MCU.

In some embodiments, methods for providing a visual resource of a participant to a video conference comprise: determining that the participant is joining or departing the video conference; accessing a visual resource that identifies the participant; and presenting the visual resource to at least one other participant to the video conference.

Abstract: Systems for controlling a presentation of data images in a video stream, comprising: at least one processor programmed to: transmit a video bit stream representing a plurality of images to a plurality of receivers using common transmission parameters; determine that a transmission link to one of the plurality of receivers is degraded; select one of the plurality of images for transmission to the one of the plurality of receivers; select degraded-link transmission parameters for transmission of the one of the plurality of images on the degraded transmission link, wherein the degraded-link transmission parameters are different from the common transmission parameters; transmit the one of the plurality of images to the one of the plurality of receivers using the degraded-link transmission parameters; and continue to transmit the video bit stream to at least one other of the plurality of receivers using the common transmission parameters.
