    Abstract: A method for carrying out an eye examination on an examinee is provided. The method includes displaying on a display at least one visual stimulus including a first visual element having a first color, a second visual element having a second color, and background having a third color, wherein the first, second and third colors are selected such that contrast between a component of the first color and the third color is the same as contrast between a component of the second color and the third color. The method further includes receiving indication from the examinee regarding detection of at least one of the first and second colors and assessing vision of the at least one eye in accordance with the indication and the contrast.
