Abstract: An ultrasound system may include a transducer configured to transmit and receive an ultrasound signal in a first plane and a second plane. The system may include a processing circuit to perform operations. The operations include receiving a first image data obtained by an ultrasound probe along the first plane, receiving a second image data obtained by the ultrasound probe along the second plane, and identifying an anatomical feature based on the first image data and the second image data. The operations include determining an angle between an ultrasound beam and a normal of the anatomical feature, determining a transmit direction that would adjust the angle, and at least one of displaying the transmit direction on a user interface of the ultrasound imaging system or automatically aligning a second ultrasound signal in the transmit direction to adjust the angle to the desired angle.
