  • Patent number: 10148501
Abstract: A method in a Base Transceiver Station, BTS for configuring hardware, HW, equipment being added or removed to/from the BTS. The BTS receives (201) configuration data for the added or removed hardware equipment via a user interface, UI. The BTS then initializes (202) a HW configuration according to the received configuration data in an installation database, IDB, of the BTS. When the HW configuration is initialized, the BTS sends (203) information about the added or removed HW equipment to a Base Station Controller, BSC. Based on the received information the BSC creates an object model of the added and/or removed HW equipment in the BTS.

  • Publication number: 20130163443
Abstract: A network performs blind detection of the VAMOS capability, at or above a predetermined SCPIR level, of mobile stations. The network transmits an AQPSK modulated message having a predetermined SCPIR level on a control channel or non-traffic portion of a traffic channel, and monitors the mobile station for an anticipated action taken in response. In some embodiments, the AQPSK modulated message is repeated to increase the probability of its reception. In some embodiments, AQPSK modulated messages are transmitted at varying SCPIR levels, to determine a minimum SCPIR level at which the mobile terminal is operative in VAMOS mode. The VAMOS capability and SCPIR level of mobile stations may be recorded, so that they may later be paired for VAMOS operation.

  • Publication number: 20070249343
Abstract: The present invention relates to cellular mobile radio systems, and more especially it relates to reduction of communications latency. Particularly, it relates to transmissions of (positive or negative) acknowledgments. Queuing or redundancy is reduced by means of signaling comprising information on the positive or negative acknowledgements.
