  • Patent number: 7358438
Abstract: An antenna amplifier has its printed circuit board clamped between upper and lower housing parts which have peripheral edges raised to engage the periphery of the circuit board between them. A recess in the housing part can clear a plug connector on the circuit board. Resilient catches can connect the housing parts to apply pressure on the circuit board.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 27, 2004
Date of Patent: April 15, 2008
Assignee: Hirschmann Electronics GmbH & Co. KG
    Inventor: Ortwin Zoller
  • Patent number: 7235744
Abstract: A housing assembly for a printed circuit board is mounted on a vehicle body by pressing a collar nut or the head of a collar screw past a plurality of fingers of a housing assembly so that the fingers retain the nut or screw head in place. The module is then pressed against the vehicle body so that the collar nut or collar screw is lifted while the retainers are deflected outwardly and a tool is used to tighten the screw into a nut or the nut onto the shank of a screw to clamp the printed circuit board on the housing against the vehicle body.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: June 26, 2007
Assignee: Hirschmann Electronics GmbH & Co. KG
    Inventor: Ortwin Zoller
  • Patent number: 7161546
Abstract: A cliplike contact element which can be used to provide an electrical contact between an antenna amplifier mounted on a body of an automotive vehicle and an antenna structure on a window of the vehicle has two interfitting contact partners with the outer contact partner having at least an electrically-conductive surface hugging the conductive surface of the inner contact partner. The contact partners can be bonded, e.g. by soldering to respective conductors.

  • Publication number: 20060216959
Abstract: A housing holds a first contact partner adjacent a throughgoing hole in the housing. Electrical contact is made between this first contact partner and a second contact partner outside the housing by a device having an electrically conductive and elastically deformable contact element engaged with all-around play in the hole between the contact partners and bearing elastically in one direction on the first contact partner and elastically in an opposite direction on the second contact partner. This element is formed with a flange bearing peripherally on the housing around the throughgoing hole.

  • Patent number: 7098857
Abstract: An adapter for making contact between an antenna structure on a window pane of an automotive vehicle and the antenna signal processing unit which can be positioned at an optional location thereon as plug connectors for flexible leads running to the signal processing window and contact elements which are yieldable and bear against the conductive pads of the antenna structure. The adapter can be mounted at any optional location on the vehicle body.

  • Patent number: 7091913
Abstract: An antenna assembly for a motor vehicle has a housing mounted on the vehicle body and overhanging a portion of a window provided with an antenna connector structure. A carrier removably mounted on that housing has one or more contact elements which bear directly against a printed circuit board in the housing and carrying the antenna signal processing circuitry and against the antenna conductor structure on the window.
