  • Publication number: 20030048021
Abstract: A disk type D.C. motor having a non-ferrous stator includes a rotor attached perpendicular to the axis of a motor shaft rotatable with respect to a motor case. An even plurality of permanent magnets are encased in the rotor and are oriented such that in a radial view they show sequentially alternating pole face polarities. A number of pairs of pole pieces corresponding to the number and spacing of the magnets are mounted to the case in a radial distribution such that the pairs of pole pieces face each other. The pairs of pole pieces are positioned on opposite sides of, and firmly in contact with, a core and are also in close proximity to, but not in contact with, the rotor. A coil is wound around the core and between each of the pairs of pole pieces such that an electric current flowing is each of the coils induces a magnetic north-south polarity in each of the pairs of pole pieces. Driving circuitry for selectively applying voltage pulses to each of the coils permits the speed of the motor to be varied.

  • Patent number: 4641807
Abstract: The picture hanger is adjustable in three dimensions to thereby adjust the suspension position up and down, side to side and inwardly and outwardly with respect to a mounting point. The hanger includes a body plate having an elongated slotted opening to receive a mounting screw at a mounting point upon a wall. A stud protrudes from the front surface of the body plate to provide the suspension support. The body plate is rotatable about the mounting point and translatable through movement over a screw at the mounting point at the slotted opening to thereby adjust the position of the stud at different suspension support positions.

  • Patent number: 4279086
Abstract: A decorative panel comprised of a face sheet and a rear sheet arranged one upon the other, each sheet being transparent. The sheets are slightly spaced apart so that a sheet of display material may be held in place by set screws carried by the rear sheet which are not visible from the front of the decorative panel. A first rotatable hanging device is mounted on the outer surface of the rear sheet. The hanging device is capable of being secured against rotation in any desired position. Spaced laterally from the first hanging device is a second hanging device which is also rotatably mounted and can be secured against rotation and is provided with an adjustable hanging strap. Through operation of the rotatable hanging devices, the decorative can be oriented readily in the desired position on a wall surface without requiring extreme accuracy in placing the hooks on the wall.
